Positive: Key collection was easy. Parking was tricky as limited space and a telegraph pole in the middle
Negative: I would have liked to have known that the stairs were very steep and narrow with additional steps at the top to this meant it was virtually impossible for me to sleep upstairs. I was fine though as I slept on the sofa bed in the lounge. I think the step into/out of the lounge should have a warning above it as we both fell on this.
Summary: Good location for the wedding we were attending. Helpful hosts.

Positive: The location was excellent for places we wanted to visit. Visited Whipsnade zoo on the way. Then Highclere Castle, Hungerford, Devizes, Avebury and Marlborough. On the way back Windsor Great Park. Had dinner at the village pub on Monday night at the Dundas Arms as the Blue Ball only did meals from the Wednesday. Did have a drink in The Blue Ball and they were very nice. Also had a cuddle from your cat
Negative: All very good.
Summary: Enjoyed a lovely short break, wish it could have been longer

Positive: Easy code to get in, close to a super nice pub. The bed upstairs was comfortable. Hosts were very kind, they even brought us a bigger ironing board when we said we were going to a wedding. Please ignore the two photos of the street it won’t let us remove it from the review but they’re from London not the area.
Negative: The property isn’t suitable for four ADULTS - I highly recommend not staying with more than 2 adults but could possible work with 2 adults and children. I’d recommend swapping the office room to a bedroom and having a comfier bed or sofa bed in there. There isn’t a wardrobe just a hanging rack in the office so it isn’t great for long term stays. The water pressure overall isn’t good, it was so hard to shower and wash our hair because it wasn’t strong enough and kept going cold and hot. The sofa bed is not good, it isn’t comfortable and the mattress is dirty. The hosts are literally 60cm away from you, they kindly gave us privacy but we personally don’t want to be right next to the owners. You need to be extremely careful on the stairs upstairs as they’re very steep, so it won’t be suitable for older people. We had to keep our parents on the sofa bed unfortunately since they nearly fell down. The towels are also really hard and crunchy so I’d recommend changing those to fresh ones.
Summary: Kind hosts, good location, lacking in comfort/size, bad shower, not suitable for 4 adults

Positive: Peaceful location to get away from it all. Sunny dry weather meant we spent most of our time reading and walking as lovely walks nearby. Cottage well equipped and we didn't lack anything.
Summary: Great location for walking and reading.

Positive: This cottage is in a great location within walking distance of the train station and just two blocks from the village shop that has everything one would need for a proper breakfast or lunch (closes at 6p). The town is quiet and in a beautiful setting. Very near is a towpath upon which one could have a lovely walk to the neighboring, and larger town, of Hungerford. Also within walking distance, and along the canal, is the Dundas Arms. A very nice pub that has a lovely garden (the night we were there they had live music). You may also enjoy a proper sit down dinner (reservation required), or just snacks. There is also a nice pub next door to this property. We enjoyed meeting some locals there and loved their homemade, oven fired pizza. The pub noise was not a problem - and we are early to bed people. The hosts were lovely and communicated beautifully. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Summary: Good location. Nice facilities. Great hosts.

Positive: Very spacious small cottage for one or two guests, ample dining and kitchen space. Kitchen was well-supplied with utensils. Projector TV in bedroom is an added bonus. Loved the sofa, beanbag and soft furnishings.
Negative: There really isn't much more you could expect from a cottage of this vintage. The bathroom is only downstairs which makes night-time trips down the steep staircase a bit tricky. It's right on the road, so morning traffic noise, while slow, is a bit intrusive.
Summary: Home from home, ideal for a business trip with easy access to M4
