Nestled on a small hill, within a picturesque cove on Lake Silkworth, Pa.- this stunning craftsman style cottage boasts a panoramic view of the Endless Mountains , which surrounds the private lake. Whether looking for a weekend getaway, a week long stay or maybe even longer- this newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2000 sq ft retreat with 100 yr old hardwoods throughout, provides all of the comforts of home and so much more. Including access to private dock, boat launch, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and fire pit, all located on the property.
Inside, the spacious cozy living room offers comfy fireplace chairs and sofa centered around a large stone gas fireplace and flat-screen TV. The well appointed kitchen is fully stocked with utensils to prepare most any meal and comes equipped with new stainless steel appliances, all centered around a large concrete island and remote torch fireplace. The ample dining room has a large wooden table and is accented by an antler chandelier. You can even enjoy a game of air hockey or shuffleboard if your up to it, both located on the first floor.
The 2nd floor master bedroom has 15' ceilings with a comfy queen size bed that faces the lake with its own private balcony. Also includes a flat-screen TV and recessed torched fireplace. There are 2 additional bedrooms on the 2nd floor including: 1 queen size bed in its own room and 1 full bed with 1 twin bunk bed in its own room. The 2nd floor also provides a full bath Including tub and shower.
Any time is day is great to relax on the large front porch and take in the beautiful mountain and lake views. Cozy up to the stone gas fireplace with your favorite beverage on those chilly autumn days.
Some local attractions are Ricketts Glenn State Park, only minutes away and Francis Slocum State Park which is just 20 minute drive, with biking trails just down the road and several local restaurants that offer a variety of dining, located within a 15-20 minute drive. The Lands at Hillside Farms is a historical landmark dairy store and mercantile where you shop at a local food hub, enjoy tasty ice cream, baked goods and a variety of other products. The Pisano family winery is located just 3 miles down the road.

Summary: My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing time at Lake Silkworth! Scott's lake house was perfectly placed for fantastic views of the lake. The front porch with the gas fireplace was beyond cozy for the early Fall nights. Across the quaint lakefront street, Scott's private lakefront property allowed us to soak up the sun of the Indian Summer. The great interior quality of the cottage, along with the fantastic location along the lake, provided our long-weekend getaway a breeze!

Summary: Lakeside cottage is a hidden gem on a beautiful small lake. Home is filled with beautiful craftsmanship details from floors to fireplaces to several sliding barn doors. Lake area was a favorite from easy access into the water to toys such as kayaks and a large fire pit all made available to us. The host, Scott, was so kind and was available for any questions. He even made us a fire one evening and joined us for S’mores. For future guests, pack supplies wisely as you have to carry everything up a long set of steps to reach the house which sits up on a hill across from the lake. Only downfall is that the upstairs can get quite warm since there is no AC unit. The bedrooms do all have ceiling fans.

Summary: Beautifully finished home located on peaceful lake....perfect place to recharge and spend time with family. Kids loved the use of the paddleboard/kayaks/floating mat on the lake and roasting marshmellows at the firepit. Game night made even more fun with use of air hockey and shuffle board. Fantastic hiking at nearby Ricketts Glenn. You know it's a great weekend when the kids are having fun and no one has picked up an electronic device! Perfect weekend getaway! - gracious host too!

Summary: Host was very accommodating. Property is very nice and everything you need was supplied. Lots of steps from lake to house so you definitely get your exercise.

Summary: The house was a perfect getaway for our family gathering of six adults and one child. It was clean, comfortable, and had a great kitchen. My grandson loved the air hockey and shuffleboard. We all loved the lake and easy access to Rickett's Glen State Park.

Summary: Nice house. Lots of character. Great location on the lake. We had a blast spending time with family. The kids loved the air hockey table. We did some great cooking in the kitchen. The rooms were nice. Fishing on the dock was a lot of fun. The view of the lake from the front porch was nice. The owner was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again.

Summary: My family and two close friends had a delightful stay at this beautiful craftsman style lakeside home. The owner was very accommodating and friendly, the check-in process was simple and the home was so well appointed. We cooked a fabulous Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen, enjoyed the two large gas fireplaces and slept well in very comfy beds. Thank you so much for making our time together a memorable one.
