Quaint, well-furnished home on cue-de-sac street with all the amenities needed for a fun and easy getaway. Three bedroom, two living areas, full & furnished kitchen, three outside sitting areas and full-size yard with fire pit for use when fire danger LOW.
From every direction you are surrounded by the mountains on a quiet street with a stream that runs behind the house seasonally. Just a short walk from downtown with plenty to do from walking, dining, rafting, hiking, coffee, shopping among other activities. Three ski resorts within an hour away.
This cabin was originally put together in the northwest and then moved to Buena Vista, CO as a model home. Later, this owner purchased it and moved it again to here in town and has spent the last five years making into a modern-day retreat. After extensive updating, the home is now ready for your stay.
Note: due to dry weather and that this is a log home, there is NO SMOKING in or one the property at any time by anyone in your party. This is for your safety and that of your guests.

Summary: We celebrated our son’s 30th birthday at this wonderful property. Plenty of room, excellent location for outdoor activities followed by a walk to town for dinner (or ice cream!). My only regret was that we did not plan to stay longer.

Summary: Grace is an amazing host! Flexible and accommodating. The home is beautiful, charming, and so relaxing. I loved hearing the little brook outside as I slept at night. Highly recommended!!

Summary: This log cabin was a perfect fit for our family. We had a great stay. Cabin had everything we needed and was close to the downtown area, hiking & hot springs. Grace was a great host and it was a please to meet and talk with her.

Summary: We were quite comfortable in this home and only 10 minutes from a wedding destination. It’s within walking distance of Main Street and reasonable driving distance to horseback riding, hot springs and hiking. The host was quite responsive before and during our stay. So much to explore, so little time.

Summary: This property is beautiful and the layout is great for multiple families. The location is close to down and there are many hiking trails within a few minutes drive. There were so many little extra comforts of home and the kitchen has everything we needed with plenty of extra dishware. It was a wonderful stay. I have stayed in rentals all over the U.S and Europe and this was definitely my best experience overall. I would stay her again for sure! Grace was an exceptional host and very easy to communicate with and accommodating to our needs.

Summary: This house is close to town and has many amenities. It also has a large bat colony living INSIDE the ceiling and walls of the house. The host notified us the day of checkin that there was a bat colony at the property but did not tell us it was inside the house. We woke up the first night to bats swooping around and landing on the bed. Everyday for four days the host had to come remove bats from inside the bedroom, living room and bathroom. The walls upstairs are stained with bat urine and feces seeping through from the bat nest. We had to clean up bat feces daily from the bathroom and main living area floors. We notified the host of two guests with high risk health conditions and she offered to help finding a new place or compensation for the mess. The worst part was the host gaslighting us about the bat issue. Talk about a health risk. In addition to the bats, the house needs better cleaning and maintenance. There was a major issue with the floor in the kitchen, causing tripping. I insisted the host remove the damaged floor so our guest who was recovering from spine surgery would not have an accident. The ice maker is broken, the washing machine is moldy, 3 of the 5 beds were only partially made, and many light bulbs were burnt out. Host was made aware of all issues in a timely manner and indicated to us that these issues have been outstanding for a month or more. If you’re looking for a clean, sanitary home, this is not it.

Summary: Need to fix a few items before the next renter arrives. Overall good stay / nice house. Kitchen floor is a known trip hazard. This would have been a huge issue if my MIL joined us. Must fix ASAP. Also need to fix the ice maker and a handle on the upstairs shower. A couple of beds were not made upon our arrival. Several dead and alive bugs / spiders. Coffee pot not clean. Fix known repairs and a better clean, then 5 stars.
