Our house is a charming renovated 1850s farm style house in the lovely and peaceful hamlet of Malden-on-Hudson with a Hudson River view. Malden is just 2 miles outside of Saugerties. It is also minutes from the HITS horse events in the summer and a half hour to the Hunter Mountain Ski Resort in the winter.
We offer our guests a private entrance with the use of the full house. You will enter downstairs and find a living room, dining room, a bathroom and a brand new kitchen. Upstairs there is a bathroom and 4 bedrooms - 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and two smaller bedrooms with single beds. (The house is attached to a completely separate apartment where the manager lives.)

Summary: Barbara's home is a lovely combination of modern creature comforts and historic charm. Kitchen is newly renovated as are the bathrooms. Love the wide plant floors and i museum like decor. I felt like I was in the pages of archectural digest.

Summary: Through the trees we sat on the porch and watched the moon rise over the Hudson. The location is truly secluded, and the house itself (built in the 1860s) was beautifully furnished. Plus there is a huge library of books about the New York music scene from the 1920s to the 50s.

Summary: What a cool old house. I've never seen such gorgeous floors. It's rare to be able to stay somewhere with so much character that still has updated bathrooms and kitchen. It also is an easy walk to HITS, which was perfect. And it's pindrop quiet. Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: Great little hidden gem close to many tourist destinations. The exterior of the building does not do this place justice, nor do the photos. It was absolutely beautiful and would recommend and rent again!

Summary: My friends and I stayed here for a girls trip the past few days. The host was very good with communication and the home was wonderful. We loved that there were enough bedrooms so that we each got our own, and it was fun choosing who got what room. Everything is decorated in such an artsy way, every time you enter a room you’ll notice something new. The two full bathrooms were very nice, and the kitchen was amazing. We spent most of our hang-out time in that room; cooking together, playing games, etc. Lots to do in the area and so much great nature around. This home was such a great value for everything you get. Looking forward to going back!

Summary: Lovely house - quirky artistic decor, beautiful big house with fantastic wood floors and high ceilings. It makes you feel like you have a brainy artist friend you are visiting. Two full baths, updated, ginormous updated kitchen. Very close to Saugerties and Woodstock. More things to do than we had time. Fantastic restaurants with vegan options. Very relaxed. Will be back!

Summary: We stayed for a few nights in this house, which is an older home, full of personality and original style, with a newly updated kitchen, bright and airy. The location is great, from one of the bedrooms you can see the Hudson in the mornings! We were there during the winter when it was quite cold. I think this property is gorgeous when the weather is nice and in the fall, the porch is facing the Hudson and some nice trees. Very close to downtown Saugerties, with lots of cafes, coffee shops, diners and local eateries, also full of personality. Close to Kingston, the Roosevelt's estate, the Vanderbuilt estate and lots of other attractions we didn't have time to visit in our short stay. The house is large, we were a family of three and it can accommodate a much larger family. The art and furniture throughout the house is so unique, I wish I had more time to just enjoy and look at each and every one. I'm a book lover, the entryway with bookcases wall-to-wall was such a happy sight for me! We've been renting many-many places throughout the years and I think this is the very first one where we didn't have to buy anything. Everything was provided (toiletries, kitchen was fully stocked, there were even frozen bagels in the freezer, coffee, tea, we used a bit of olive oil one morning, just everything you can think of to make yourself feel at home). It felt as if our friends let us live in their house for a while. Thank you for your generosity, it warmed my heart!
