Summary: We have just returned from 2 weeks at Casa Charms and loved every minute of it. The house is rustic and has an eclectic mix of furnishings which we found charming. There is so much space with so many areas to sit and relax. Spent the night time playing cards on the veranda and also ate all of our meals there. The annex worked really well for us as it gave our 19 year old son his own space. The pool is private and a really good size. The house is really well equipped with all the kitchen equipment you could need including spare light bulbs etc. No air conditioning but large fans in each room, mosquito nets and bug screens on the windows (although it didn’t seem very buggy). The house is situated about 5 - 10 mins from Jimena which is a nice little town with a number of bars and 2 smallish supermarkets but they do stock some vegan items and non dairy milk. House is in the country and so you can hear chickens and dogs but not constantly and it didn’t bother us. Good location for exploring that part of Andalusia as really quick to get on main roads. Well placed for visiting Ronda, Malaga, Gibraltar, Cadiz or coastal towns. Good communication and very responsive owners.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in Casa Charms, a typical Andalusian home complete with everything you need. A lovely garden with a large and cool pool which made a stay in August very bearable. The surrounding nature is impressive with many large birds….we definitely recommend a stay here!

Summary: Casa Charms really is charming. The house was clean and tidy, and decorated very prettily with spanish tiles and pictures. The beds were comfortable, with nice cotton sheets. The countryside in May was beautiful - lots of wild flowers and birds, and the weather warm enough for sunbathing on several days. A perfect place to stay if you want to combine relaxing with some lovely walks around Jimena - the river in Jimena very lovely, edged with wild oleander. Or for visiting places such as Gaucin and Ronda, and Seville, Cadiz and Malaga all within reach for a day trip by car.

Summary: most enjoyable stay in glorious surroundings in the foot of the mountains in Andalusia. the house is clean and comfortable and has a rustic charm and is set in a beautiful orange and lemon grove. The swimming pool is fabulous and it is perfect for sunbathing and swimming activities. There are lots of thing to do in the area walking in the mountains and trips to nearby Rhonda, and Tarifa. The nearest beach is only 35mins drive and makes for an ideal afternoon out. The nearby villages in the area are stunning with great authentic Spanish restaurants and tapas bars The surrounding mountains make a picturesque back drop. it is the perfect location to get away form it all and to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!

Summary: Great holiday. It was a lovely two weeks. Our children spent a lot of it in the pool which was v well kept. The accomodation was great with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. We ate outside all the time, with swallows for company. The night sky was filled with stars every night. We went for walks nearby in the dramatic landscape and met many horses, which our children loved. We went to the coast a couple of times but, to be honest, we were quite happy just staying at casa charms, spending time in the pool and under the orange and lemon trees, reading and resting. We went into Jimena to eat a couple of times and had some very good seafood. All in all, a lovely holiday. We will be going back.

Summary: I write this review with some reluctance for two reasons. One that I will not be able to do justice to the house/garden/pool and two, that if I do too many people will be interested in booking the house. The setting is lovely, the house clean, comfortable and charming and the pool is wonderful. The surrounding area is I am sure very interesting for walkers but as it was around forty degrees while we were there we only really ventured as far as the supermarkets. Although we did manage to go to Ronda on the train which was great, and explored the castle in the local town. The local Tourist Information were good as well. The owner's representative was very helpful however we did not need to contact him for any reason during our time there. There are lovely restaurents in the nearby town which are very good value. We had two teenagers with us, and the lack of night life was a bit of an issue for them. As the property has a DVD player I would suggest going armed with some DVD's and plenty of games. We had a lovely holiday there, I would certainly recommend it to anyone and would love to go again

Summary: We had a lovely short break at Casa Charms. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The swimming pool was great. Nesting swallows, very comfortable hammocks, an orange grove, lemon trees and even a pomegranate tree made it a special place. We did not go out much as we didn't need to. We were able to recharge our batteries. Supermarket was 10 minutes away and had everything we needed. We would recommend it to a friend, but not to an enemy! Guy and Emma
