Enjoy this wonderful quaint cottage located a short drive to Minden, which has all the needed amenities close by.
QuailsNest is wonderful for families. This 3 bedroom cottage sleeps 8, has 1 bath with a shower, with an excellent view of spectacular sunsets.
Main bedroom has a queen size bed, with private sliding doors to the front deck, which is the perfect place to cozy in and watch the sunset.
The second bedroom has a double bed on the lower bunk and a single on the upper.
The third bedroom is equipped similar to the second bedroom, but has closet space.
Professionally renovated Kitchen is well equipped with home like amenities, well stocked with cooking all the utensils/pots/pans needed. Appliances are new for the 2024 season. The breakfast bar is a great spot to for a few people to gather while others cook, or enjoy the 6 person dining table. Feel free to also enjoy meals on the deck where there is a 6 person patio set.
Cottage comes with several kids kayaks, and a paddle boat for your enjoyment.
There is a wonderful dock for those who want to bring your own boat, the public launch is close by. Or of course, feel free to sit in the Muskoka chairs or bring the lounge chairs over to bask in the sunshine.

Summary: Love the cottage it's got everything you need. It's got bunk beds for the kids, little kayaks and lots of sand toys. The beach is stunning, sandy and shallow for little ones. The water is warm and calm. It's very quiet as long as the neighbors aren't out which we lucked out and had the area all to ourselves. I wish there was a bit more privacy on the one side of the cottage. One side has lots of tall trees but the other side is totally open. We love this place.

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at Quail's Nest this summer and we hope to return next year for a longer stay. The cottage is beautiful, clean, well supplied and extremely comfortable to stay in. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the tools you need to cook (essential as cottage time means great meals to our family) and had tons of counter and cupboard space. Appliances and kitchen are clearly new, clean and very well cared for. There is lots of seating for meals and a big table perfect for puzzles or crafts. The family room had comfy furniture and a tv that worked great and allowed us to enjoy a movie and popcorn after a day in the sun (and a trip to the nearby Kawartha Dairy for ice cream - also recommended). Bedrooms are clean, comfy and everyone slept well, and the bathroom was also clean, bright and worked perfectly. Great decor and cottage friendly art made the entire space welcoming and relaxing, and the floor to ceiling view of the water along the back of the cottage made relaxing a breeze. Outside was beyond perfect. A long dock, sandy shallow walk in to clear water and a warm calm lake to enjoy meant we spent hours in the water. Lots of seating to sit and relax if not in or on the water. Our hosts were easy to contact and incredibly helpful. Every question you could think of was answered in a handy binder and everything was well labeled and easy to find or use. Thank you Nikki and Eric!

Summary: The place was clean and equipped with everything we needed. We were close enough to town when we needed something. The water was clean and warm, and there was enough space for the kids to run around outside.

Summary: Another great week at the cottage. From the booking to the checkout everything was flawless. This cottage has everything you need for a vacation at the lake. Sandy beach is great for those who want to float and the paddle boat is great for those that want to venture out and explore. Propery is big enough for a long dog leash, allowing our dog to feel like she had some freedom. Cant wait to book next year :)

Summary: This is a well-stocked cottage in a great location. There is a nice sandy beach that would be excellent for children. My friend and I enjoyed the paddle boat and viewing the lovely sunsets. We were fine using the shower but a warning to large folks - it is very small! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage to folks who want a peaceful lakeside experience!

Summary: This was our 2nd year at this property and we are already planning for next. We are a 3rd and 4th generation Horseshoe Lake cottage family and this cottage has given us the opportunity to continue our traditions after selling the family cottage across the lake. This cottage has everything you need to enjoy a week by the lake, outside has a great dock, sandy beach and amazing sunset views. Inside has everything you need to cook inside or out and the bathroom is stocked with your basic toiletries. This property is dog friendly and a 30ft leash was the perfect size to keep our dog on the propery with enough space to roam and respect the dogs next door. Added bonus this week was taking our mother and grandma (the 2nd generation cottager) up for the week. At 78 and with limited mobility this property was easy for her to get around inside and outside. Front deck is nicely shaded most of the day. Great stay and cant wait for next year
