Charming Sandy Cottage is a lovely 3 bedroom traditional beach house providing the perfect accommodation for families or groups wanting a quiet escape from the city. Located in secluded Sandy Point, less than 200km from the CBD, the enviable position of this property makes it ideal for year-round getaways. Accessible to both Wilsons Promontory and South Gippsland the central location makes it an easy drive to Squeaky beach, Waratah bay, Inverloch and Port Franklin.
Picturesque Sandy Point beach is a pleasant 5 minute walk away, while Shallow Inlet, famous for its and wind surfing and fishing is a short 5 minute drive. Numerous recreation and relaxation facilities are within reach, such as golf courses, bush walks, fine restaurants, and of course the South Gippsland's popular wineries and art galleries.
Enjoy the convenience of shopping facilities in Foster, just 20 minutes away, with the luxury of being able to return to the peace and tranquility of Sandy Point. The nearby General store provides convenience within walking distance, avoiding the lengthy supermarket queues of January. Other nearby recreation facilities suitable for children and families include the mini golf on the Sandy Point foreshore, the Sandy Point surf lifesaving club, cafe, children's playground, tennis courts and the patrolled safety beaches.
Positioned on a spacious 1000 sqm block fringed with native trees, the house itself was renovated in 2017. The cottage features sunny light-filled living areas that open out onto a large outdoor deck where there is seating and a gas BBQ. The three bedrooms and bathroom can comfortably accommodate 6 people. Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed, Bedroom 2 a trio bunk with a double bed below a single plus a king single bed, Bedroom 3 has a double bed. The living area includes a television, DVD and bluetooth speaker, wifi and there are games to keep everyone entertained well into the evening. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and coffee machine.
Longer stays are made easier with the washing machine facility. Guests need to bring their own towels and bed linen. Maximum of 2 dogs are welcome to stay. They can sleep in the living area at night but we ask that during the day they stay outside. The fencing around the property is adequately secure for dogs.
Sandy Cottage's idyllic location, ample facilities and proximity to the entire South Gippsland attractions make it the perfect base for a holiday any time of year. With activities to suit all types of weather and interests, you are certain to have a great time with everything on offer here. Summary: This house had everything you want for a beach holiday, particularly the hot outdoor shower. It's very close to the Ned Neales beach access (<5min walk with boards). We enjoyed using some of the games and puzzles provided when we had a wet day. There was plenty of space for our family group. The house was excellently presented. We would definitely stay again.

Summary: We had a great stay at Sandy Point. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need to make your holiday relaxing. We have a dog and the yard is well fenced and secure. She was allowed inside at night which was great as it was cold and she's used to coming inside. We would highly recommend this property to others, but especially to families with a dog.

Summary: The house is well-equipped with comfortable beds and furniture and a stunning array of cooking equipment. It is set in a pretty garden with old mature ti-trees that add a lot of atmosphere to the garden. There is a spacious deck on which to sit or eat meals too. There was a shortage of storage space for clothes in 2 of the 3 bedrooms but we improvised with the wall hooks. The location was excellent - close to the Ned Neale beach. We would love to go there again.

Summary: We loved our week at Sandy Point. The home was lovely, tastefully decorated, it had everything we needed. A great outdoor undercover dining area with bbq...with a perfect yard for our dog. Very peaceful setting and a short walk to an amazing beach...which was dog friendly. George loved his first beach holiday.

Summary: If you like the beach, walking, nature, and a relaxing time for this place has it. The house is clean and neat (easy to keep during your stay) with all the appliances you need and great outdoor areas for entertainment or just enjoying in any weather. It is a located close to beach access and at the quiet end of sandy point although Sandy Point is lovely and friendly anywhere. You can take your dog who will be happy outside or in the living room if well behaved. Fences and gates are good.
