Our lovely cottage in the Buckinghamshire countryside is sure to be your perfect home away from home. Set in 2 acres of beautiful gardens, the house retains its 200-year old thatched cottage charm whilst also being fully adapted for modern living. In the summer you can sit out on the patio, enjoying breakfast amongst the flowers or a glass of wine in the evening, or pick your own blackberries from our hedges. In the winter, the log burning stove and comfy sofas create a cosy atmosphere to snuggle up and watch a movie, play board games or read one of the books from the library after a walk through the surrounding countryside.
The large kitchen-diner is an inviting space to cook and share a meal, with French windows opening onto patios at both the front and back, where al fresco dining can be enjoyed - weather permitting! The welcoming entrance hall leads to the kitchen which seats fourteen, the snug, the living room, and upstairs to four of the bedrooms. The four twin rooms and three double bedrooms are comfortable, well appointed and private. All are en-suite
The beautiful gardens come complete with large patio, BBQ, hot tub, outside dining space for all guests and our own chickens and ducks! There is also a large playing field, with football goals and croquet lawn, whilst the rest of the garden is planted with flowers, shrubs, fruit and vegetables.
Our location at the edge of the village ensures peace and quiet, while the restaurants and attractions of Milton Keynes are close by. We are easily accessible both by train (20 minutes from Milton Keynes Central station) and by road (25 minutes from the M1 motorway).

Summary: We absolutely loved our weekend here. The cottage is so spacious and well decorated. Everything has been done with a lot of care and attention to detail and it shows. It looks even better than the photos! We didn’t meet Ann but Howard was great in showing us around and the communication before was very prompt and helpful. It is slightly less private / isolated than expected with a few other houses and construction in progress (not actively so no noise). This isn’t a criticism just something to be aware of. I would not hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone. I am sure the surrounding areas are lovely but we didn’t even feel the need to leave. Would love to come back some day!

Summary: This place is amazing, such a beautiful home, beautiful grounds, friendly hosts. We had the best fun weekend. All of us would 100% go back again (together or with our families). Can also recommend chubbies Chippy who dropped of 14 fish & chips for us. 10/10 fully recommend 😊

Summary: Stayed over the weekend this July. Photos really don’t do justice to how beautiful and spacious the home is. Plenty of space and really well fitted out. Hosted both a BBQ and a dinner party over the weekend, kitchen is big and well equipped enough to cook for 14. Hosts were friendly and very accommodating. Would recommend highly

Summary: It's a beautiful cottage with great spaces to enjoy both inside and outside the house. The property is very well maintained, comfortable and warm. We enjoyed family meals around the large dining table and played lot of games in the garden. Ann and Howard are helpful in every way.

Summary: The photos don't do this cottage justice. It is luxurious and so well equipped. Perfect set up for a big group with a good mix of single beds and double beds and ensuites for every room. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire. The owners were on hand whenever we had questions. Lovely country walk to a local pub (Old Thatched Inn) for a delicious lunch. We will return!
