Summary: This property is beautiful. Big yard, gourmet kitchen with many supplies from popcorn machine, keurig, crockpot and so much more. Spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. Pool and jacuzzi were a plus. Air conditioning and spacious. Beds were a little harder than some would like, chairs by the fire pit weren't cleaned but we couldnt use them because it rained all week anyway. Not completely 'private' but nothing to complain about. Would come back and recommend to friends for a Vermont getaway.

Summary: Mu family dtayed for a long relaxing weekend. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and comfortable house with a kitchen that was fully stocked. Lovely yard for our two dogs to play. Very clean. Off the beaten path but close enough to town for dhopping and dining. Owner quickly responded to any questions we had.

Summary: Our family had another wonderful long weekend at Home Sweet Home. The property and house are beautiful and vey comfortable. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy. Minutes from all the attractions in both Manchester and Dorset. Ellen is a top-notch host!

Summary: Our family enjoyed a wonderfully quiet and restful stay in a great home featuring very comfortable bedding in large and well lit bedrooms, a huge kitchen with all the convenient appliances, and a terrific hot tub only steps from the house - great for soothing aching muscles after skiing all day. The house is a little remote, but only 10 min. from town. Great communication with owner !! Highly recommended !!!

Summary: I am starting to lose count of how many times I have stayed at Ellen’s property. I have yet to meet another host who is so eager to please and accommodate as much as her. House was clean and perfect as always. Thank you Ellen!

Summary: This was an incredible rental and such an enjoyable stay. Ellen was delightful and responded to all inquires within minutes. The home was immaculate, unbelievably organized and well stocked. The accommodations exceeded every expectation and the home was absolutely lovely. The beds were all so comfortable and the movie and book collection were superb! The living space was so comfortable for our family of 6 with our furry member and we all enjoyed the huge hot tub under the stars…which, incidentally are much brighter in VT than NY. We ski’d at Bromley which was a stones throw away from the home for the first day and ski’d Stratton for the remainder of the trip. I think I must have said a thousand times “I can’t believe she rents this-it’s so nice”. I would rent again without hesitation and look forward to another stay. Thanks for hosting Ellen 💛

Summary: This was our seventh trip to Home Sweet Home now - long winter weekend here (Presidents Day this time) is a long-established tradition for us! As always, delightful stay, with familiarity of the place we've been so many times to and amenities and comfort assured by the attention to details from Ellen, Chris and their crew. Reading through reviews accumulated here over the years (they are spot on in their accolades!), happy to see so many fellow return travelers as well - it is easy to get used to great things in life! With that many trips behind us (and so many reviews here - if you are contemplating Home Sweet Home as your vacation destination, it's worth skimming through them both to elevate your enthusiasm and to take the note of their highlights), most of the amenities, activities and destinations have been already commented on, but still - for the new (for us) dining destinations this trip we went for dinner at Equinox/Chop House and drinks at Copper Grouse/Taconic - both were excellent! And the geeky/techy travelers among us noticed remarkable wireless bandwidth at Home Sweet Home - in multiple 100s of Mbps, per fast.com - something we don't always enjoy at our offices in Boston! Not that we are coming here to work, but, if needed, Home Sweet Home is surely well plugged into 21st century necessities as well. Thank you, Ellen and Chris, for your meticulous maintenance and continuous upgrades - this trip is always the highlight of our winter!

Summary: Ellen was incredibly responsive to all communication from initially booking the property through checkout. The house provided plenty of room for two infants (both 18-months old), two dogs, and six adults. The kitchen included all cookware and small appliances you may need for cooking meals at home. Alternatively, the location was close enough to a variety of restaurants for a meal out. We will absolutely be back!
