Positive: The room was very comfortable and quiet. The b&b is in a very quiet road and very peaceful. Chart house is in easy walking distance of Dorking town centre with eateries to suit every budget.
Negative: Chart house isn't en-suite, so you have to try and time yourself for bathroom and toilets. As it turned out, it wasn't a major problem. Breakfast was plentiful, my only complaint was that we were charged £8 for a cooked breakfast against £6 quoted on Booking.com (it's only £2 but it's the principle)

Positive: The self service breakfast was very good. We were able to make use of the kitchen at our leisure and this worked well.
Negative: We would have liked an en suite bathroom. There was no indication in the booking that we were not going to have one.
Summary: This is a beautiful home in a picturesque setting. The garden is exceptionally pretty.

Positive: Location near to Gatwick airport and train to London. Situated in a very pretty area of Surrey. Walking distance to Dorking town centre. Beautiful garden.
Negative: Ideally I would have preferred en suite rooms. I was traveling with a rather hyper grandchild. It is rather difficult to move around the house, especially opening and closing doors, without making some noise. This was especially difficult for my grandchild. We would have been better advised to stay in a motel-type accommodation so that she would not have been so much of a disturbance to other guests. The breakfast was ok but not quite what I was used to at other British bed and breakfasts.
