Positive: Marvellous location just 10 mins walk to the main street of Dorking and only a mile and a half or so from Box Hill. Absolutely lovely garden which is not that of use unless you wish to sit in it, in which case you will be very happy! The accomodation was very clean and well maintained. The owner Jill very pleasant and helpful.
Negative: The 10ftx10ft bedroom was immaculately clean and warm, and it's associated bathroom was even better. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Problem was the very small size of the room for the price asked. Also the bedsheets/duvet cover were very tired, new crisp bedclothes would be a big improvement.
Summary: If you are going to use the lovely garden and don't mind a tiny bedroom, highly recommended!

Positive: Exquisite gardens. And I sat in the sunshine to unwind after a long drive. Enjoyed my bedroom and even had a hand basin and small fridge in which was a bonus

Positive: Well, the place was exceptionally clean and warm. Lot of character and stories that make it very special. Do read the whole book in a room, it has a lot of information and a background story. Very picturesque. Owner Jill is an absolute gem. She's kind and caring. The place itself is in a perfect location, off the high street so quiet and peaceful, yet not far from the high street with many shops and pubs, plus walking distance (maybe 30min) from Surrey hills and quite a good walk to Box hill. Every Sunday there's an antique market at Dorking halls. And not far from the Denby vineyards where they have quite reasonably priced tours by train as well as indoor wine tasting. Plus you get to say good morning to Alpacas in the field.

Positive: Located almost in the town centre. The host was friendly, but not intrusive. The room was well appointed and the addition of the fridge was a welcome surprise.
Negative: The mattress was very soft.

Positive: The room was very comfortable and quiet. The b&b is in a very quiet road and very peaceful. Chart house is in easy walking distance of Dorking town centre with eateries to suit every budget.
Negative: Chart house isn't en-suite, so you have to try and time yourself for bathroom and toilets. As it turned out, it wasn't a major problem. Breakfast was plentiful, my only complaint was that we were charged £8 for a cooked breakfast against £6 quoted on Booking.com (it's only £2 but it's the principle)
