Positive: Tracye and Francis, were very sweet and helpful hosts, that made you feel at home immediately That also have a very sweet French bulldog Gizelle! The room has good AC, a small fridge and a code lock. There is in the shared kitchen a coffee machine, microwave, etc Also a fun little terrace at the back! We would love to stay there again next time we are in Chicago!

Positive: Great value room on a holiday weekend. Even though it’s located on the South Side of Chicago the neighborhood is kept up and we felt safe walking around during the day. We took Uber home at night so can’t comment on neighborhood’s security at night. Easy 14 minute walk to the Green line to get to downtown area. The common area decor was in good taste/comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a fully functional kitchen. The bed’s mattress was also firm and provided a good night’s rest. We would stay here again when we come to Chicago as it’s excellent value.
Summary: Comfortable stay and excellent value.

Positive: My staying was great! The apartment was clean, tide, and cozy. Before my arrival I heard negative opinions about the neighborhood, however the host takes security seriously, I had my car and I felt calm knowing there was CCTV at the back parking lot. The host was nice and friendly, I felt confused getting into the apartment, then I called her, she patiently guided me through the instructions. I highly recommend you consider staying here.
Negative: I didn’t like the neighborhood, I had a bad experience in one of the nearby gas stations and felt kinda unsafe and scared but felt safe when I was in the apartment

Positive: The room itself was comfortable and had a tv and dressing table. There was an ok coffee machine in the kitchen and free pods, which was just nice to have with early morning starts. The shower was decent and there is an option to cook. Overall, I think the property was good value.
Negative: The main thing I didn’t like was the location. I should of course have done my research, but it’s not a great neighbourhood. Maybe it’s ok if you have a car, but I got an L train from downtown to King Drive the first night- never again! There was also loud music from the neighbours almost every evening/night which you can really hear in Room 2. Another thing was there was no backup supply of toilet paper. There were several occasions in my week stay where it just completely ran out, and I do think when there’s a full house of three or more people it seems a bit strange to only put out one roll at a time.

Positive: The host was exceptionally hospitable and helpful. I arrived pretty confused after losing my wallet on the L train, but she patiently helped me with the check-in process. The booking itself was classy, clean, and comfortable. The host was very kind. The community was good to me, and the neighborhood was beautiful. What more can you ask for?
Negative: Another house hosted parties 2 of the 3 nights I stayed, they ran fairly late. This was unfortunate, but also outside of the hosts control, so Im not factoring it into my rating.

Positive: This is a working-class neighborhood with lots of renovations in progress. The proximity to U of C was great; we drove a car so I can't speak more broadly to accessibility. The common areas were not comfy but they looked nice and were clean.
Negative: The mattress was not great but I didn't suffer.
