Positive: There was one reviewer who said the location was in a run-down area. There are parts outside the neighborhood that might be, but the location is in a nice, older, well-established neighborhood, and the people there keep up their properties. The streets are clean, and some homes have been newly renovated. There is plenty of street parking. The home is well-kept and comfortable.
Negative: For the less adventurous traveler, this might not be the property for you. There are three rooms, and each has its own keypad entry, but the kitchen, dining room, entertainment area, and one bathroom are all common areas, so if you aren't comfortable sharing these spaces, find another place to stay.

Positive: The inside of the house and room were clean.
Negative: The location was in a very run down part of the city. I was feeling uneasy when I pulled up, went inside to scope it out and was planning on staying until a man approached me by my car and said “so, this is where you staying, huh?” And as a single woman traveling with my disabled mom I thought it was best to leave and get another room.

Positive: I was traveling alone and stayed for 9 nights in the single room. It was a very pleasant stay: the room is small but very functional and extremely clean. The common areas are well maintained, and there is the possibility to cook and use the refrigerator. Communication with the hosts was smooth and effective through the Booking.com app and WhatsApp. The house gives a great sense of warmth and safety, and within about ten minutes you can reach the Green Line train. The neighborhood seemed quiet, though not very lively in the evening due to the lack of nighttime commercial activity. In any case, I never had any issues getting back using public transport, even after midnight. I recommend this place and hope to return if I happen to be in Chicago again.

Positive: The place was clean and close to public transportation.
Negative: It's not a hotel, even though it sounds like it is. There is not gym, even though it says there is. The room was smaller than in the pictures and the bathroom is shared (I got confused in that part when booking). And the host visits the property every day.
