Summary: This was our second year in a row bringing together 3 families of cousins. We had 6 adults and 9 kids (3-14yo) and everyone had a great time. The house was in great shape with plenty of space, even allowing some of the adults to work. The pool kept the kids entertained for hours. Will definitely look to come back next year.

Summary: We stayed for a family summer vacation at the Chateau in August and really enjoyed it. There was enough space for all of us to be able to relax - grandparents, parents and two young children (4 years and 1.5 years) for the week. The pool was fantastic - it was heated, had nice grass surroundings shaded by big trees and lots of pool toys available onsite to keep the little ones entertained. We didn't need to use the adjacent pool house, but imagined it would be great for a group of adults to enjoy. My only comment would be that we felt that the specified closing hour of 5pm was too early. Given the long summer evenings we would have liked to be able to enjoy the pool for a bit longer into the early evening. The house is very spacious and beautifully presented. Check in was a breeze and we greatly appreciated the beautiful touches such as fresh flowers and two bottles of wine set out to welcome us! The kitchen was exceptionally well set up and allowed us to prepare some great meals while staying there. Several Wegmans stores nearby which made buying groceries a breeze. We took several day trips in the surrounding area, in particular to Rochester to visit the Seneca Zoo, The Strong Play Museum and several playgrounds for the children, and a couple of vineyards for the adults. However we mostly just enjoyed spending time relaxing at the Chateau itself - both indoors and exploring the grounds and enjoying the pool. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable destination for a family vacation.

Summary: We stayed at Chateau du Marchand while in Rochester for our son's wedding. Staying here for a such a milestone in our lives made the weekend extra special. It was perfect! Some extended family were with us and there was plenty of room for all of us. The home is tastefully decorated and is very well equipped. The grounds are beautiful. Monica and her team were very accommodating of our requests and easy to communicate and work with. We relaxed around the pool and cooked out on the grill the day after the wedding. It was the perfect way to decompress. We are grateful for our time there and would love to return.

Summary: We stayed here for the Christmas holiday. House was exactly as pictured online- stocked kitchen, nice amenities, great sleeping arrangements and beautifully decorated for the holiday. We enjoyed and location and took a snowy walk on the property on Christmas Eve! Contact with Monica was very responsive and easy. Highly recommend!

Summary: We hosted family for Thanksgiving at the Chateau and had a tremendous week. The property was incredible, it makes for great hikes and activities and each part of it is very scenic. Every detail of the house was perfect, from the small decorations, to the kitchen, to each bedroom and bathroom. It really did exceed all expectations. In addition, the house was set up perfectly to host guests and the host went through every detail to make sure the guests were aware of how to use everything. We would highly recommend this for anyone looking to have a relaxing weekend in Rochester, at any time of year. We are already looking to come back in the summer!

Summary: I stayed here for a girls' weekend with a large group from Buffalo, and we had an amazing time. The house, pool, grounds, and pool house were truly magnificent. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful--absolutely beautiful and well-appointed kitchen with top of the line cookware and appliances, extremely comfortable beds, luxurious towels, wonderful living room where we could have movie nights together, fresh flowers in several rooms, etc. The pool and pool house vastly exceeded our expectations. We could not have dreamed up a better house. Thank you to Monica for everything and being so responsive!
