Summary: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely room . Something a bit different to the normal room. Very welcoming.

Summary: This mostly went very well. The room was lovely complete with an outside area (with a table and chairs). The bathroom was 'traditional' - it even included a bidet (no I didn't use it). The room was mostly lit by 'lamps' which all worked from the one switch which was very useful. The only let down was that the TV for some reason was only 'standard definition' which meant it only allowed you to watch the ABC, SBS & Channel 9. Very unusual it's safe to say.

Summary: Everything about our stay at Chateau Yering was excellent starting with the extremely friendly staff at check-in, our well-appointed spacious room that was quiet and comfortable and great breakfast in a lovely setting

Summary: Staff were great and room was equally good with great views from the upper level. There are lots of sitting areas. While the swimming pool was not available, we were not planning to use this. The only slight difficulty was that there was no restaurant for an evening meal, we would have gone to the Yarra Glen pub but this was being renovated also.

Summary: Hotel is heritage listed building and is exquisitely decorated with antiques and decor true to its era. We were looking for a place to stay for a family celebration, where we could have dinner and stay the night without travelling anywhere and booked elenors restaurant as well as 4 rooms. Two weeks before our stay they closed the restaurant and cancelled our booking, which meant we had to drive to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was disappointing and no real reason was given. It took 2 phone calls (via AI answering service) to find out any information. We found the whole hotel is very light on for staff, the pool is in total disrepair which lead us to believe there are budget issues and cost cutting. The rooms are very large and lovely but the air-conditioning is not fit for purpose. We slept with the balcony doors open at night to cool the room down and it was below 30.degrees during the day. Overall it's a lovely historic property but in need of some TLC and additional real life (not AI) staff.
