Grandma and Grandpa's Getaway is a cozy, comfortable one bedroom apartment on the lower level of our home. Soak in the sun from your private sunny deck with gorgeous water view. Enjoy watching the birds flock to the feeders. Hike through our private 110 acre wildlife preserve and wild natural organic farm at the heart of Deer Harbor.
Two adults plus a child have the apartment privately, one bedroom, one sleeper sofa, nicely equipped kitchen, full bathroom, propane BBQ, great new deck with amazing water view. Summary: Cute little hideaway with great views and wonderful hosts! Close to Mt. Constitution, but not many places to eat unless you're there earlier in the evenings. It just depends on the time of the year, in some cases.

Summary: This sweet getaway was just as advertised with one important exception. Accessing the space requires climbing a fairly steep dirt pathway followed by a lengthy staircase. "Grandmas and Grandpas" who rent this space may well have difficulty with this climb, especially with heavy luggage and any other things they brought with them. This presented a bit of a problem for my sister and myself. Other than this challenge, we totally enjoyed this space.

Summary: The gateway to an incredibly relaxing weekend in Orcas Island. We really enjoyed staying with Meg & Bob and were lucky enough to meet them before heading home. This property over looks the water on a very quiet part of the island. I certainly recommend you stay here!
