Your hosts, David and Ariane, invite you to enjoy the charm of Domaine du Moulin, which dates back to around 1800.
Domaine du Moulin with its four Gîtes, the large heated swimming pool and extensive grounds are located in Occitanie, Southwest of France, close to Limoux in a picturesque valley.
Only 30 minutes from Carcassonne and its airport and about an hour from Toulouse or Narbonne, it is ideally placed to explore the Cathare castles, the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea - or just relax by the swimming pool and take in the view.
Maison Cyprès offers comfortable accommodation on two floors.
Ground floor: The lounge/dining room is equipped with a mix of antique and modern high quality furniture, a flat screen TV and fire place. Large patio doors lead to both private terraces.
The kitchen offers a breakfast bar, four ring induction hob, oven, large fridge freezer, microwave, Senseo coffee machine, dish washer, washing machine and ample kitchen utensils.
The bathroom comprises of a corner bath, pebbled walk-in shower, two basins and a toilet. There also is a separate toilet accessible from the hall.
First floor: There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom both with large, comfy beds.
Exterior: The covered terrace is equipped with a VERY cosy outdoor lounge boasting stunning views of the hilltop village of Roquetaillade with its 1000-year old castle, and of our pond filled with Koi carp. There also is a dining table with chairs and a gas barbecue.

Summary: We stayed a week in the main house and were very comfortable. All the facilities we needed were there, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. During extremely hot weather the pool was perfect. it's heated and a good size so sharing was no issue at all. The location is quiet; a little off the beaten track but the supermarket is only 10 mins away.

Summary: We spent a great week staying in Maison Cypres - a lovely old house (with all mod cons) in a great location - a perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of France. Ariane was very welcoming and helpful, and her website also contains lots of useful suggestions for places to visit. There are four gites on the property but it felt very quiet and relaxing. The pool area is beautiful and the garden and grounds are fun to explore.

Summary: The owners of the property are friendly and were very eager to ensure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The house is very comfortable and as it is a family home it is extremely well equiped through out. There is a very pleasant shaded comfortable area in which to relax and an excellent pool. I would fully recommend this house. It is well situated to visit many nearby places of interest including Carcassonnne.

Summary: We spent a lovely week at Maison Cypres. The house is very comfortable and set in a peaceful rural area, only 10 minutes from all the amenities in Limoux. It is an ideal base for exploring Cathare castles, vineyards, markets, pretty medieval villages and of course Carcassonne itself. We enjoyed relaxing by the secluded pool after a day of sightseeing, and spent our evenings sampling the local wine out on the fantastic covered terrace which was so snug and comfortable. A great holiday.

Summary: Everything was just the same as the pictures in the web site and all to a high standard. The lounge was massive but due to the good weather we spent all our evenings in the outside lounge area ! The kitchen had all you could want and more a full sized fridge and dishwasher made life so easy and the bbq was a dream to cook on! After a day in the fresh air the beds were also comfy and the bathroom just like a 1st class hotel ! Arianne and David were only ever a call away and visited most days to make sure we were all happy ....they provided recommendations of places to eat and suggestions of places to visit. Many of these were not in my guide book but really worth a look Supermarkets and petrol stations were less than 10 mins away making it easy to pick up bits for tea. The swimming pool offered a great opportunity to cool down and there were plenty of sun loungers to lie around on. Hopefully you can tell we have had a great time .....14 full days visiting different things from the Medieval city of Carcassone to walking through gorges and climbing great heights to visit old Castles. Thank you so much for making us welcome and letting us use your home! Andy, Val, Charlotte and Oliver
