Positive: Of course the view is what makes the place. You cant beat the view.
Negative: The domes are very close to one another so privacy is little. You can hear when people are coming and going, the door lock beeping, snoring dog barking etc. When ypu go to the washroom you walk past the open dome windows. Its a walk to the washrooms and not a comfortable or safe feeling one in the middle of the night. There is no wood for the firepits, you are to bring your own which was told the day we are checking in. The domes were cold. We slept in our clothing and coats, plus the bedding provided. A little space heater would have been nice. No bath towels, just hand towels Bring towels, extra blankets, flashlights or lanterns, toilet paper (they ran out), wood, ear plugs, board games or card games, books, warm clothing.

Positive: Awesome place with amazing views! The girls and I love nature getaways, but camping just isn't our jam. We were so happy to discover this place—it gives you that camping experience, but with cozy beds and no need to pack all the camping gear. We absolutely loved it! Even got to see the Northern Lights..

Positive: We really appreciated the views and the quaintness of the place. The trailer was clean and found the mattresses comfortable and the space was well utilized. There was a little fire pit near by that overlooked Chief Mountain that we definitely would have utilized if we had more time. The place is a pretty and short 30 min drive from Waterton park which was very convenient.
Negative: The very first thing we noticed was there were no window coverings. Although we were not directly in view of the other domes/cabins, anyone could've walked the very short distance and looked in. The windows were all eye-level and some looked directly into the one bed area. As three young women staying there, it made was very uncomfortable and forced us to get creative to create some privacy. It was unclear if the water from the tap in the trailer was drinkable and internet was very spotty that the answer from the owners did not come through until the next morning. We also had difficulty sleeping due to a beeping noise that started in the middle of the night. None of us could find the source and it was a little frustrating. It wasn't until we checked out and were in town that we got a message giving us a multi-step instructions how to fix a beeping noise should it happen. Owners were kind and quick to respond to my questions prior to our stay and I think it was just the unfortunate spotty internet that caused the break down in communication. Simple window coverings and perhaps a print out in the trailer with all the trouble shooting and info, it would have significantly improved our stay :)
Summary: Pleasant stay overall and could be improved with just some small details :)

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Chief Mountain Cabins. The place is very peaceful and remote, which made it perfect for relaxing. We really enjoyed the quiet time and the beautiful stargazing at night. The tiny home was cozy and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the space felt nice and welcoming. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.
Negative: We were a bit disappointed with the toilet. We chose the tiny home instead of the domes because it mentioned a private toilet, but we expected it to be a flush toilet. Since there is also a shower, we assumed it would be similar to a motorhome. It would be helpful if this detail is clearly mentioned in the description so guests know what to expect. It would also be nice if some coffee powder or coffee supplies were provided, since there is a coffee machine available. It would make mornings even better.
Summary: Overall, we still loved our stay and appreciate the experience.
