Positive: Had an amazing stay at Chimborazo Lodge. The owner and staff were very friendly. The breakfasts and dinner were great. We enjoyed seeing all of the alpacas on the property.

Positive: Chimborazo Lodge twins a remote and otherworldly location with absolute luxury inside - roaring fires, huge panes of glass to make the most of the views, extremely friendly staff and excellent food. The lodge and all the surrounding buildings are full of climbing memorabilia, hunting trophies and old photos of mountain climbers that give the place an aura of adventure. While we weren't undertaking a climb of Chimborazo - the views were enough for us - many of the other guests seemed to be. Oh, and the Lodge is surrounded by alpacas, and hummingbirds are everywhere!

Negative: Not a criticism, but bear in mind that the Lodge itself is 4,000m altitude, which can feel pretty weird if you're a lowlander like us. We acclimatised a near Cotopaxi for a couple of days before coming here.
