Summary: The hotel and accommodations were nice and what we expected. What we did not expect was for their to be no staff on duty during the night to deal with the group of people occupying 2 rooms, slamming doors, stomping in the halls, yelling and activating the fire alarm at 11:00 PM, causing the entire hotel to be evacuated into zero degree weather.

Summary: Check in was a breeze, the hotel is very clean and staff was friendly. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Punxsutawney for Groundhog Day. We checked in about 4 pm, got dinner and went to bed at 6 pm so that we could get up and leave the hotel at 2 am- around 9:00 pm a group of loud guests arrived, banging around, stomping, yelling and carrying on. Around 9:20 pm the fire alarms started going off, a loud horrible screeching nose, strobe lights were flashing- we had to evacuate the hotel in the single digit weather & wait for the emergency responders to come & clear the rooms- it ended up being one of those guests burning food in the microwave. Once we were able to get back into our room, it was difficult to get any sleep- we could still hear them carrying on for the next several hours- we were unable to get any sleep before leaving for Punxsy.

Summary: The room was very clean and comfortable, and check-in/checkout was easy. Weather stripping for entry doors could help minimize corridor noise.

Summary: We went up for Groundhog Day and got a perfectly nice hotel room for the nights we were there. Wish we had access to the closed bar and grill just so we had somewhere to sit and eat dinner, but the beds were comfy and great for what we needed!

Summary: This property turned out much better than I expected from the pictures. Bar/Restaurant is closed since Covid times, so it is just a quiet simple place to rest. We had everything ready for our arrival, it was self check in. I suggest taking showers in the evening, because it is an old building and boiler is very slow to hit up, so in the morning you may run water for 15 min before it warms up. Giant Eagle and Dollar General and Sheetz are very close, across the hotel is an old church, police is one block away, so it is very safe and convenient place to be. And only 30 miles from Punxsutawney:)
