The Hotel has been created within an elegant Regency building, which was once owned and loved by the Duke of Wellington. Many of the original features have been maintained with high Georgian ceilings, ornate coving, and big sash windows. The original entrance remains consisting of several steep steps up into the hotel. The Clarence Court Hotel is just over half a mile from Cheltenham Racecourse and Centaur Conference Center. The hotel is a grade 2 listed building, and this does not allow for a elevator, but we are happy to assist with your luggage. We do not have disabled facilities due to the nature and classification of the building however please inform us if you have limited mobility and you will be allocated a ground floor room. The hotel is privately owned and run by professional hoteliers with the emphasis placed on a warm welcome, friendly service, homemade food, comfortable beds and a fantastic freshly cooked traditional English breakfast. Our newly refreshed Restaurant and Bar, located on the lower ground floor is the perfect place to unwind, whether it’s for a coffee or a cocktail, or dinner. We can accommodate private parties for birthdays and special events. All Guests (over 16 yrs.) have complimentary access to Everlast Gym located within the Brewery just a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel.

Positive: It was comfortable, the staff were attentive, helpful and genuinely natural, the food was delicious and unusual - what's not to like? It's initial attraction was that it is family run, well sited for the town and excellent value.

Negative: The shower was appalling. Our room wasn’t serviced - we informed reception about this at around 4pm and requested more toilet paper & water. For nearly £350 per night not good.

Positive: Location was very good in front of a lovely garden square and only 10 minutes walk into town. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Very supportive with parking my larger vehicle. The lady on reception had saved me a large space and let me park there for a few hours the following day after we had checked out so we could have a look around the rest of the Jazz Festival. Nice little bar area downstairs that was very much appreciated when we arrived back later that evening. Very comfortable bed and large bedroom with lovely view of the gardens.
Negative: The only disappointment despite a very nice stay was the breakfast. It was a very limited offering and the poached eggs on toast I ordered were ruined and not soft. The small bowl of fresh fruit looked past its best. I am not a big coffee drinker but love a cappuccino when away with breakfast. Unfortunately there was only filter coffee available.
Summary: Really lovely comfortable stay, very friendly staff but a disappointing breakfast.
