Positive: The house was okay and homely

Negative: The fact that it cost me over €100 to keep the fire going so the back boiler would warm up the radiators to warm the house, I feel given the cost of the rent there should’ve been at leat a few days supply of wood, coal etc. The floors were tiled and very slippery especially when we went in after it was raining and we had wet shoes, the wasn’t a mop supplied to clean/dry the floors only a packet of wipes and I certainly wasn’t going to get on my hands and knees to clean every day No blinds in the bathroom or kitchen House wasn’t particularly clean on arrival either I cleaned the fridge etc and the tv was full of small hand prints. Also very limited channels on the tv. The shower ran only warm or freezing cold at 30 second intervals. The owner appeared as we were unloading the car on a very wet afternoon, he showed me where things like the electric meter was, he then proceeded to open the back door without checking if my little dog was secure, which he wasn’t and use to having a enclosed garden he ran out in the garden and I had to chase him wearing only my socks, I had removed my shoes as they were wet and made me slip on the tiled floors. Luckily I caught him before he got into the field at the back of the house, I dread to think what could’ve happened to him in a very rural setting.

Positive: I rented the property for its quiet location . Everything I needed was supplied. Seamus was very nice and had a lovely fire going when I arrived. It’s a lovely area peaceful area. Perfect for a nice stroll.

Positive: It was close to where we needed to be and it was comfortable and had everything we needed. We were greeted and had everything we needed to know explained to us. There was a lovely folder that had some information about local things like places to eat and places you could go, even though we did not do any of this should we return we will certainly look again and do some of the things recommended.

Negative: There was nothing we didn't like in particular. The only thing perhaps would be that it was a bit difficult to start the fire but that was just because we don't ever have do that. We got used to it in the end.
