A throwback to the simple vacations of yesteryear, this waterfront cottage on the shores of Lake LBJ is a place to swim off the dock, barbecue in the Texas sunshine, and dine on the grass in the shade of the trees.
This single-level, lakefront home is located on the northern shores of Lake LBJ, on a grassy piece of property with its own dock on the water. As you come back up the grounds from your morning swim, you'll be greeted by central air conditioning, free WiFi, and a window-lined sun room where you can kick back on the sofa, watch Netflix on the flatscreen TV, or simply take in the beautiful lake view. You can prepare an afternoon feast in the classic kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a circular dining table for four. Or, head out back to light the gas grill, throw on a few steaks, and dine at the table in the grass.

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter situations with wildlife/pests. Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night and supervise your children at all times while outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control maintenance on a regular basis, BUT this does not guarantee pests/bugs/critters will not be visible.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Dock details: Private dock available for guest use located in the backyard of home.Smaller dock is broken but you may use the larger dock that is in front of the larger home. Swimming is allowed.
There is no boat launch available with this dock.

Summary: The great location on. the water.was special. The grill lighter issue was disappointing. Then also the grill was dirty. Some feel grills are suppose to be covered with old grease, I don't. It's easy to keep the grill burnt off. Thank you.

Summary: The property was beautiful. Cottage was charming but lacked expected provisions (no salt or pepper, there were no games or reading material, the grill's ignitor didn't work but with call to your service a lighter was provided 40 minutes later. The peace was not there , with construction next door. And not expected real tranquel setting was disturbed by a great deal of boat & water sports equipment on the water. This was very much so with a boat landing immediately across the water. May be much better at another time of year when young vacationers wouldn't be so very present.

Summary: The cabin is nice and cozy. Clean. Comfy bed. The sofa and chair in the living room are super comfortable. The views from the living room are amazing. Enjoyed my coffee and book in the morning. Bring a lighter if you want to BBQ as the ignition is broken on the grill. No biggie. The dock was broken apart and we weren’t told about it. Apparently it’s getting repaired this next week so for those of you in the future it should be good. Vacasa was pretty bad on communication. They finally had a local person respond to us 22 hours later. In the end they gave us a credit of 25 a night for amenity fee refund which we were thankful for. We didn’t get to swim or enjoy the river much because no way to get in and out. But still a nice place. We caught a bunch of perch from the shore and one catfish. We would come back when the deck is fixed to enjoy fishing, swimming and kayaking on that part of it.

Summary: To help you about location, there was a tiny, and I mean tiny, lot for sale adjacent to this property. Their price was a whopping $1.1million just for the lot. This property is much larger and is beautifully landscaped. We spent most of our time outside under the wonderful shade. We met the owners who were staying at their main house next door and were wonderful people! Great experience! No complaints

Summary: My husband and i really needed a few days away to relax with the dogs. This place could not be more perfect. Beautiful yard, great view of the water and the dock is in great shape. Our dogs loved it and even seemed more relaxed. The kitchen was great, enough room to cook your favorite vacation meals. The place may not be new but it’s super clean and cozy. The bed is extremely comfortable and it was so quiet we slept great. We will be back as soon as possible!
