This camp has been in our family four generations and is one of the few places that has such expansive waterfront views. On the inside you will find that the main floor consists of a full kitchen and a comfortable living room as well as a lounge area that looks out over the lake. There are two private bedrooms on this floor with one containing a queen sized bed and the other a twin sized bed. Big open windows allow for you to enjoy all the action of living on a lake from the comfort of the indoors. If you would prefer to be outside, there is a large deck that wraps around the camp to provide a picturesque view of Embden Pond. There is also a furnished basement available for extra sleeping should guests need it. The fully functioning washing machine and dryer are also located in the basement. Outside, there is a fire-pit directly on the waterfront as well as a calming brook running beside the property.

Summary: I'd initially rented a camp in southern Maine for myself, my family, and our dogs but that reservation fell through. Looking for a last-minute replacement, I found this camp available for nearly the same dates (late Aug/Sept). The price was very reasonable and the owner was quick to reply. She even worked with us on accommodating a special request. In my opinion, the photos don't do this place justice. The camp is more spacious than we expected, the yard provides ample parking and plenty of privacy and room for a few rounds of cornhole, there's a large deck with a grill, and the owners have been kind enough to provide everything from linens to kayaks. Like a camp feel? Check out the kitchen or chill out on wicker rocker while watching activity on the lake. Like the feel of a regular house? Sack out on the couch or recliner and surf TV channels. Our favorite part of the property was the waterfront - particularly the peninsula where the water remains fairly shallow even several feet from shore. That was perfect for people to wade and dogs to play. We took a previous guest's suggestion of getting water shoes - those made walking in the water a lot easier. Unfortunately, a family emergency required us to cut our stay a bit short, but chances are no matter how long we'd stayed we wouldn't have been ready to leave this special spot. Last but not least - the pond is beautiful and crystal clear. Perfect for a morning paddle in a kayak. And the fishing is apparently pretty good - the angler in our group caught a salmon that was enjoyed by all.

Summary: We absolutely love this camp! It is super quiet and peaceful which makes it the perfect place to recharge your soul. As a nurse during COVID times, this is certainly what I needed. The camp was super clean and there is everything you could possibly need is there. Just bring swim shoes! The area is super rocky and slippery but the water is gorgeous! This camp will always will hold a special place in our hearts as the little point of land is where we got engaged! We hope to come back next year as our honeymoon spot.

Summary: Cozy camp situated on Embden Pond, ME. Very comfortable and relaxing location. During the day kayaking and local exploration, or doing nothing at all. We spent evenings by the lakeside fire pit listening to the loons and looking at the stars. Highly recommend this place and will look to return again in the future.

Summary: The cabin was perfect for me and my two dogs. Kayaking on beautiful Embden Pond was relaxing and just what I needed. House was comfortable and clean. There are two bedrooms upstairs and more beds for family members downstairs. It's a beautiful location.
