2 Bedroom Cabin in Three Lakes

New on the rental market is this classic, two-bedroom 1950's Northwoods cabin that sits nestled in the woods on 300 feet of shoreline on Planting Ground Lake of the Three Lakes Chain of 28 lakes. The cabin is perfect for a family of five, with a new queen bed in one bedroom and a new full/twin bunk bed in the second bedroom. The living room/dining room area has full wrap-around windows, offering a beautiful view of Planting Ground Lake. The living room is equipped with a new couch/futon that converts to a queen bed. A gas fireplace is located in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils and cookware, fridge/freezer, an electric range/oven, microwave, and Keurig k-cup coffee maker. Free broadband internet wi-fi is provided. Walk out onto a stone and moss patio, where 2 Adirondack chairs invite you to relax and take in the beauty. A slight sloping, gravel path from the patio leads to the campfire area. A second slight sloping gravel path takes you to the lakefront area, where the sandy bottom along the shore is perfect for swimming, and a new cedar dock is awaits your boat. Fishing is great right off the dock. A large Weber charcoal grill is provided for grilling. We provide bedding and four sets of bath towels. Well behaved dogs are considered with an additional $50 applied to the standard cleaning fee.
June, July, and August rentals are full week only, Saturday - Saturday.

Summary: Quiet lake with good dock; great deck overlook; cabin adequate and well stocked. Parking was 40 steps from door; fireplace inoperable; TV a jumble to work; shower curtain surround was icky; and "slight" decline to dock was treacherous! Sadly, the beautiful window views from the living area were marred by dirt. Owner was pleasant and as helpful as possible.

Summary: My wife and I needed to get away for some R & R. This cabin was perfect--beautiful forest for walks, a fireplace (gas) to read by, a well equipped kitchen for all our needs. Matt was always available by text and was super helpful.

Summary: Down a paved winding road, great for dog walks, easy to find, friendly in-person check-in, accessible parking. Be mindful that there are quite a few steps for carrying your things to and from your car to the house, but this is what makes the cabin tucked down into the wood and close to the water. Clean space, beautiful surroundings, a great place to spend some time with yourself, your family, and nature. Matt was a great host, and we would definitely stay again!
