Summary: The cabin and property were clean and comfortable. We had a great time having our family Christmas at the Ponderosa Cabin. The owners had a Christmas Tree setup for us to put our presents under which was a nice surprise. The cabin was very well decorated and contained all the amenities we needed. A good time was had by all.

Summary: I cant say enough that would relate to how breathtaking, relazing, serene the Ponderosa is. And then the owners Pete and Brenda are THE MOST genuine, kind, respectful and caring I've ever met, Southern hospitality is an understatement. My family and I were met with open arms. The cabin was well stocked, and beyond. This will be our go to anytime we visit Texas or nearby areas.

Summary: Such a good time! One of our sons lives in the area & the rest of us are within 2-3 hours. This was the perfect place to get together. Papa & two of the grandsons (ages 3 & 9) had birthdays to celebrate. We fished & canoed, played games & barbecued. The kitchen is well stocked, which is awesome, because we did a lot of cooking during our three-day stay. Our hosts took great care of us. Can’t wait to stay again. 😊

Summary: Initially chose property due to its close location to family etc... Was pleasantly surprised to find out it was much more than we expected. The cabin was situated right on a small lake. Enjoyed a little fishing in my down time. Had a great firepit that the family enjoyed at night. Just a great little retreat from the day-to-day grind. I cannot express my appreciation to Pete and Brenda for their hospitality. Would highly recommend.

Summary: My friends and I came for a 2 night getaway. We thought we would need to find some things to do to keep us entertained but this property was so peaceful and relaxing that we enjoyed just staying at the cabin and visiting. The cabin was so clean and cozy and the AC worked amazingly well (thank goodness). The pond with the 30 to 40 geese was beautiful. We went and ate in Hugo a couple times. Definitely recommend Roma Italian!!!!! I highly recommend this beautiful property.

Summary: This was our first VRBO stay and 2 days in, my husband was making plans to stay again. He says we won’t stay in another hotel as long as we visit our son and daughter in law in Paris, Texas. Wee stated throughout our stay that we could live in the Ponderosa Cabin. We loved the location and amenities! Just a great experience for sure.
