2 Bedroom Condo in Monticello

Located in Wayne county Kentucky, next to Lake Cumberland on the South central side. Only 3 miles to Conley Bottom marina, a full service marina with Pontoon rentals as well as ski boats and jet skis. This condo is located and managed by Golden Pond Resort, a quiet small community, with a pool for guests as well as a tennis court, sandy volley ball area, also horse shoes, play area for kids with slide and swings. This condo has one queen bed and the other bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds to sleep 4. A 44 inch flat screen TV. Free wifi is also provided and expanded cable with over 55 channels. Open floor plan makes this 650 sq. foot condo seem spacious, with full size appliances, fully stocked kitchen, pots, pans, dishes, ect.
Only a 10 minute drive to Monticello for groceries at our super Walmart as well as a few restaurants fast food places and a pizza hut that does deliver to your door. Somerset is only 20-25 minutes for adult beverages, many more restaurants, theaters, mall, also putt putt golf, and a water park on the north side.
There are several golf courses, one in Somerset called Eagles Crest country club, also Burnside State Park only 25 minutes away has a nice course as well as Albany KY. Beside Lake Cumberland, other things to do would be a old train ride through old coal mining town, Cumberland Falls for hiking, horse back riding, or canoeing, only a 45 minute ride through beautiful countryside. Mill Springs a historic site of the civil war is only 5 miles away. In the town of Monticello take a tour of the museum for a taste of our past. Many small antique shops and flea markets spread out through the area.
You can drive to the waters edge later in the summer when the lake recedes. There are also two other locations near by to get to the waters edge.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. The location is close to Conley Bottom, boat ramps and just a short drive to Monticello. The property was clean and as represented in the photos. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Beds were clean and relatively comfy. The pool looked nice, although we didn't utilize it during our visit. We would stay here again, although there are a few things that would make it even better. - The wifi didn't work at all during our stay and the property manager said he would have someone check it out. Not a huge deal since we spent majority of our time out on the lake. -There's no scrubber sponge in the kitchen, which made washing pots and pans difficult. -There's no hair dryer. -This is a small thing, but there's only one mirror in the apartment and it's in the bathroom. A second mirror in the bedroom would be a nice addition. All-in-all we had a nice weekend with our family!

Summary: We had a great time. Had a playground for the kids and basketball and volleyball ball for the adults. There was also a swimming pool for when the weather warms up. All in all I would stay here again.

Summary: We loved staying in the condo at Golden Pond! It was a nice place to get away and relax! Steve was great to work with and very helpful. Our kids loved being so close to the outdoor courts and all the other activities, they can't wait to go back again!
