Summary: Property is lovely, very beautiful. We booked and paid through Hotels.com. Specifically said it was our honeymoon. On arrival, no mention of the honeymoon, just asked how we wanted to pay. Explained it was all paid for already and told those rooms couldn’t be paid for in advance. Eventually told by another member of staff we could be shown to our room and they would sort it out There were ants in our room - in the shower in the bathroom and on the headboard of the bed. The man who came with ant powder didn’t sound surprised. We were offered to change room. New room was nice, but not what we booked and significantly smaller. Dinner in the Mill was good. Food delicious and staff extremely nice. One or two bugs flying around in here too though, and cobwebs etc. Appreciate it is an old building, but would expect for it to be cleaned regularly. Breakfast was lovely. Staff on the second morning not the best - served wrong type of coffee and served hot chocolate in a tall glass with no handle and a paper straw. Spa was beautiful. The copper baths experience was gorgeous, as was the spa treatment. Would definitely come back to the spa. Overall, a nice experience. Cleanliness needs addressing. Staff very nice and polite, but standard of service is not what you would expect for the price paid and the type of property. We often felt forgotten about.

Summary: Wow! From the moment you drive in you’re transported into a tranquil setting. We stayed for one short night (wish we had more time). We had dinner at the mill and a glass of wine and the pub on the property. The hot tub/sauna area did close at 6pm so we didn’t get to enjoy them. Wish I would have known that. The staff as super friendly and our rooms were lovely. We stayed in the lily pond room, which felt new. Its was lovely! Would definitely come back if you are looking for a quite tranquil stay.

Summary: Overall the property and setting are beautiful, incredible dinner and lovely bar and breakfast experience - really nice spaces to enjoy at different stages of stay. Staff very nice and helpful. Thermal spa a lovely oasis. Bikes available to borrow to explore the adjacent canal path. The room we got let down the entire experience, seems to be converted corridor with partition. Badly insulated with noise, poorly & minimally furnished-no really comfort with polished concrete floor and no rug. sound from other room&guests audible. Other members of group got lovely new build rooms with character which enhanced their experience. disappointing and unexpected for such a property to let down with the accommodation like that. I do recommend a stay but take care with your accommodation

Summary: Great location. Absolutely beautiful complex. Fun to bike ride along the grand Canal. The little shop for coffee and drinks was very convenient. Room cleanup was inconsistent. Carpet was dirty, trash not always taken out and bathroom not fully cleaned. The spa was unable to provide an appointment for my wife during our three day stay. Neither of the whirlpools were fully functional, and the saunas were not that hot. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Dinner service was slow, our server did not realize we had finished our main course have not been at our table for sometime. Walls in our building are very thin. We could hear the conversation conversations in the next room.
