Enjoy a Smith Mountain Lake vacation in a beautiful lodge-like home. The timber rafters and gorgeous stone fireplace are exactly what you dream of when you think of a mountain/lake retreat. The furnishings are comfortable and will make you feel like home. Your morning coffee, evening dinners and even games can be played on the spacious deck outfitted with several "Kennedy" rockers or deep-cushioned chairs. If that's not enough, just wait until you get down to the huge dock! The main attraction is the giant u-shaped bar that is the envy of every boater who drives by. The comfy bar stools and 6 lounge chairs will offer a choice seat for everyone in your group.
Back up at the house is a well-appointed kitchen with aged, cherry cabinets, granite countertops and a wolf oven and range.
The bedrooms offer privacy for everyone with beds that are very comfortable. The master is on the main level and has a king bed and private bathroom. There is a queen bedroom upstairs as well as a bunk room with twin beds for five. (best for children.) There is an open loft with 2 more twin beds. The last bedroom is downstairs and has a queen bed and plenty of room to add another bed or crib.

Summary: Truly the best vacation home we’ve ever rented. A beautiful home and location with everything needed to have a relaxing, yet fun-filled week. Summary: We had a fabulous visit! The house was amazing, very high quality and much nicer than your typical rental. The kitchen was equipped better than my own kitchen at home! We also brought a boat. If you bring a boat, realize that there is boat traffic that comes by and it is not a no wake zone, so make sure that your boat is not one that doesn’t take on water easily. The property had an amazing dock with a mahogany bar and shade. There was also a floating dock that we tied the boat to and it had a lot of bumpers attached which took the impact of the boat during the wake. The property owners were great and also there were stand up paddle boards and kayak. We brought bikes with us, but it was too hilly so we didn’t use them. Don’t bother unless your bikes handle hills well. Beds were very comfortable. We would love to go back and sit on that dock again next summer!
