Positive: The property itself is nice, room was quite big with comfortable bed.
Negative: At first glance, the room appeared clean. However, upon closer inspection, we found dust, cobwebs, and a smelly bed sheet. What disappointed us the most, however, was the communication with the staff. We contacted them a few days in advance with two inquiries: whether an early check-in would be possible (as we were arriving around 3 AM and booking stated check-in was from 6 AM) and if they could arrange a scooter rental. The immediate answer to both questions was a definitive "yes." Yet, when we arrived, we were told they were fully booked, meaning we had to wait until 2 PM to check in, and no scooter had been arranged. The staff delivered this with a smile and a casual "sorry," but did absolutely nothing to genuinely resolve the situation. They even tried to convince us that check-in was much later (luckily, we had a screenshot from Booking) and claimed they had made no promises (thankfully, we had the WhatsApp conversation to prove it). As we were quite firm, we were able to get checking after 8AM while waiting there since 4AM in lobby. This indifferent and unhelpful approach showed they simply didn't care. Based on our experience, we highly recommend being very cautious with their promises.

Positive: Comfortable and clean. Used it as a base to travel to Bromo. They even packed us a breakfast at that price point.
Negative: If I had to nitpick, I would recommend getting yellow lights for the room instead of white. However, we pretty much used the room only to sleep.

Negative: Breakfast was not exciting, toast but no butter, apart from pineapple no fruit. The bathroom is very small, no storage at all. Nothing like the photo.

Positive: Well, for the price I paid I can't really complain. Mostly like the stuff before and during our stay. Before: Fast communication and arrangement of the private tours I wanted to do near Mt Bromo and the waterfalls. During: Helped with our needs. Great drivers including pick up from Airport.
Negative: A bit noisy during the late evenings. Rooms are very basic. Shower can be improved. Location not in great areas, but I assume there is no great area in this city. And again, definitely worth for the value.

Positive: The room was spacious and quiet. The homestay is located in a residential district and thus there was no issue with excessive traffic around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a restaurant with a range of local and Western dishes, which I didn't try.
