Positive: I recently stayed at The Coach House in Port Fairy and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The location is ideal—tucked in a quiet street yet just a short walk to the river, beach, and town centre with its lovely cafes and shops. The cottage itself is full of charm, beautifully furnished with antique-style pieces that give it a warm, homely feel. It’s surprisingly spacious, with a cosy living area downstairs (complete with a gas log fire) and a large, airy bedroom upstairs with garden views. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine, and the bathroom was spotless with both a bath and separate shower. The private courtyard and BBQ area were a bonus, perfect for relaxing outside. The owner, Lyn, was incredibly friendly and thoughtful—she made us feel genuinely welcome with lovely little touches like fresh coffee and biscuits. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. A truly peaceful and well-appointed place to stay in one of Victoria’s most charming towns.

Positive: Coach House is cozy and lovely. We had a really great stay and loved how well-stoked the kitchen was and how close to the beach and river and township it is.
Negative: The only thing I would change would be having proper shampoo and conditioner in the shower. There were tiny bottles for four days and it wasn't very good quality.
