Positive: Every bit as lovely as the pictures. Very quiet and peaceful. Thoughtfully equipped with kitchen gear, games, puzzles. Comfortable beds. Exceptional large dining table for family gatherings. Bright open floor plan. Gorgeous view of the Arches rocks at Cape Mears.
Negative: No part of the house is accessible without climbing a full set of stairs. all bedrooms require an additional flight of stairs. Although there are 3 full bathrooms, there is only 1 shower in the house. Two bedrooms are on the lowest level. We had to borrow a dehumidifier to defeat the musty odor and make those bedrooms usable for anyone with allergies There is no grill. The fire pit is too close to the house to use without fear of burning the house down. A car is required to get to any of the nearby beaches. Parking at the beach is frequently a problem during peak season.

Positive: The location was beautiful and fairly secluded (well off of the main road and very quiet) but still very easy to find and get to. The rooms were nice and the bed in the upstairs master was one of the better beds I've slept in while traveling. The kitchen is large enough to work in and cleanliness overall was fine (there were some cobwebs on the walls in places where it was difficult to clean which was not a big deal to me). There are some reviews saying the clearing list is excessive but in my opinion it was totally not excessive--just clean up after yourself and start laundry.
Negative: There are three bathrooms but only one has a shower, which was not great with 4 adults staying at the house. Realize there is no beach access here--you will have to drive or walk along a busy road without sidewalks for at least a mile to get to a beach. Parking is very tight with two vehicles. The listing said pets were fine but it wasn't until 3 days before the trip we were informed about an pet fee (which I had no problem paying but surprises that late in the game are a bummer, and not how professionals should be operating). There was a smell occasionally in the master bedroom (kind of poopy) that I couldn't locate--I think people have been leaving their pets on the upstairs patio to to do their business and then when you have the sliding glass door open the scent wafts into the bedroom. Since you will be going to the beach, there is bound to be some sand cleanup in the house and there wasn't any kind of vacuum available for cleaning (lucky I anticipated this and brought my small shop-vac). This sounds like I'm being pretty negative but these are just nits, overall we were satisfied and had a great time, and if the price was right we would totally stay there again.
Summary: Overall we had a great time with a few minor detractions.

Positive: The home was easy to get to by car, and you will need a car to travel to all area destinations. The Guest Host was quick to respond to text and answered all our questions which made getting in the home easy. Wow! The house is very cutely decorated and spacious. The master bedroom and sitting area off the bedroom offer spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets. There are full bathrooms on every level of the home, however the only shower is in the basement bathroom. The beds were all comfortable. The house was well supplied with linens, towels, and extra pillows and blankets. And, appreciated all the cookware and utensils in the kitchen.
Summary: We will be back in the future
