Positive: The location was unbeatable. Just steps away from the most idyllic beach, which had relatively little foot-fall. It felt like paradise. Coco-Fesse is tucked away in a quiet private garden, giving privacy and quietness. We had access to kayaks, barbeque, and a beachside shower to rinse the salt off. If you are looking for a trip out to see dolphins, turtles, whales or the northern islands, I would recommend asking the host for Robert's number - a fantastic guide who will pick you up in his boat from the beach. There are well-stocked shops, and excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance. The associated car rental and transfer service was excellent. The hosts and maids and gardener were all very friendly and kind, and it was nice to have a laundry service and the accommodation cleaned each day. When compared with other accommodation nearby, the value for money can't be beaten. We couldn't recommend highly enough. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Positive: This is the best value for money you can find in Mauritius. If you go in winter (June-December), Grand Baye is the place to be (the rest is probably covered by clouds and under rain). No surprise properties on the beach in the area cost a ton of money. In comparison, Coconuts has a fantastic price, while lacking nothing of what the nearby hotels have to offer. You are on a private beach (super-clean, with reef accessible from the shore - just walk towards LUX and sweem in right after the little lagoon of black stones - the reef is 200 meters away, with all the corals and fish Mauritius has to offer to snorkellers). You are 8 minutes walk from a good restaurant, and 5 minutes drive from city center with plenty of shops and street food. The facility offers grill and has a kitchen, so you can just cook any meal. Unlike many other hotels I've been to which offered a kitchen, here you have salt, oil, and some spices available to use. There is a free (!) laundry service too, and the rooms are cleaned daily. Lux hotel bar with cocktails is just 1 minute walk away.
Negative: You can hear the cars passing by. But then, that is the case for all the hotels in that part of Mauritius, because of how the city is laid out.

Positive: Everything from the host to the location, the facilities, etc. Was literally perfect. The lovely hosts helped me to find several services at the best price in the city, and were particularly flexible and generous during my stay, and even beyond mt checkout. I strongly recommend Coconuts for any traveler to Grand Baie, Mauritius.
Negative: Not staying longer.
