Positive: This place is a superb two-storey granny flat out the back of Aliettes's house. It is much more beautiful than the photos here. It is surrounded by lovely foliage and the terrace is very nice. Inside, there is more than enough space for a couple. The kitchen is well-equipped and the hosts really respect your space and privacy (unlike some airbnb hosts who do a lot of interfering lol). Perhaps the best thing about this accom is the value for money - so cheap for what it is! Strongly recommended to book this for your stay in Réunion. You will not regret it. Our expectations were massively exceeded.

Negative: I know other reviewers have commented about Le Tampon not being the most charming town to stay in; there is some truth to that. However, it has significant upsides: it is in a strategic position near the volcano (for which an early start will be necessary), Langevin waterfall, Cilaos and the only road which actually crosses the island. There is a good supermarket very close to this accom with a good range of cheeses, meats and wines. If you value your independence, Le Tampon is actually a reasonably good base on the island.
