Positive: Easy to get to and close to shopping in town. Easy access to highway to Dubuque shopping as well. Friendly staff and well maintained despite having some older finishing.

Negative: Parking stalls were close. Some road noise but not terrible.

Positive: While older and somewhat worn, it was clean. I appreciated the microwave and the mini fridge.

Negative: The A/C was not initially sufficient. It was a small wall unit mounted in the west wall (direct sunlight on typical hot summer Midwest day. If you check in and expect it to cool down in 30 minutes or so it isn't going to happen. By the middle of the night it finally got to the point where I had to use the blankets. The mattress was like sleeping on the floor - hard. Very thin curtains with no blinds resulting in a fairly bright room with other business lights in the area. Bottom line here - pay attention to the dates on the reviews. If I had I probably wouldn't have stayed here.

Summary: Even though I like to save money, it would have been worth the extra $35 for another hotel.
