Summary: A lovely cottage in a nice location with all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and when we needed to raise anything during the stay it was dealt with expediently. Located in a peaceful spot on the edge of town only a short walk in to the centre. Le Bono it self is a nice little town, although small it has a pretty harbour with convenient access to a network of walks around the local inlets and just enough shops and restaurants so you don't have to venture further unless you wanted to. Then within a radius of 1/2 to 3/4 hr drive there are lots to great towns, sites and beaches to visit, more than you're likely to fit in if like us you're only visiting for a week. Would definitely return to the cottage to explore further if the opportunity arose.

Summary: We really liked the house and it's location. The river is 100m away through the grounds, and the village centre with decent restaurant, bars, boulangerie, shop, etc. is a 10 minute walk away. The house itself is surprisingly large and the living room furniture far more comfortable than it looks in the photos. Beds are a matter of taste, but for me the pillows were pretty awful so you may want to take your own. The kitchen is fine, but strangely lacking knives (only 6) and as it appears to have been imported from another house, it a little more worn than other fittings. We'd have liked a couple of proper sun loungers as the deck is lovely when the sun shines, but not the end of the world. Overall, great value and we'd happily return. The owner was very helpful and always responded to queries. The area around Bono and Auray is great, and if you haven't visited before, you'll love it.
