Lovely, clean, cape style home, offers magnificent ocean views & islands to admire from nearly every room in the house~ located in Phippsburgh. A well known island you will see from the home, is Malaga Island, a very historical island off the coastline. It's also a favorite spot for seeing bald eagles soaring . The Island View home is one mile from Sebasco Golf Course & The Ledges Restaurant. Anna's Restaurant is a 5 minute walk. This cozy home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 upstairs bedrooms each have a queen bed, the bedroom on the first floor has a double size bed , 2 full baths, living room, kitchen & separate small, dining area. Outside deck with seating and a grill. There is much fun and memories to be made here !
We are implementing cleaning practices per guidelines for sanitizing and disinfecting all surfaces , linens, etc. This home offers the best fresh air one could ask for along our coast ~
We are also not accepting semester long bookings for college students at this time.
Maine is famous for its stunning landscape ! When vacationing here, you must visit the gorgeous State and Private beaches, all just a short distance from the home. Popham Beach is a must, as it has the longest sandy beach in the state, and is considered the most scenic. Check out Fort Popham and enjoy lunch at Spinney's ! Reid State Park has 2 beaches, trails, picnic areas & snack bars. Head Beach, Bates-Morse Mountain and Totman Cove are all also a must see ! Happy Beach Hopping ! Visit Phippsburgh Land Trust for details on local preserves and trails to enjoy .
Maybe a sailing or fishing charter is for you....choose from many in the area. If you choose to bring or rent kayaks, you are able to launch either at Anna's Restaurant (walking distance) for $10, the town dock, or Totman's Cove (which requires a free pass for parking which you can pick up at the town office) This is where you will enjoy rights to a private town beach and miles of hiking trails ~ This home is also situated near a working waterfront, lobster men and women, lobster boats, all working in the neighborhood to bring back the crustaceans for you ! They are early to rise in the morning ~ you will certainly hear the hustle and bustle !
You are 20 minutes away from the quaint downtown city of Bath, with many shops, restaurants and pubs ~ short drive to Wiscasset & Boothbay Harbor, and if you wish to visit Freeport, there are many outlet shops & of course the mother store is for famous LLBean, it's approximately a 40 minute drive away. .

Summary: The house was clean and kitchen was well supplied. The knives were actually sharp. The communication with management was excellent. Recommend a queen bed down stairs bedroom Not really 3 full bedrooms But good for families. Expand the TV channels. Normally we don’t watch much TV but we had a rainy day so a movie would have been good. The neighbors not friendly offensive signs and loud foul language. That is nothing owners can control We loved the area and explored a lot. Pop ham beach one of most beautiful beaches we have ever visited.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this property in late September. It was very comfortable and well appointed. The view of the lobster/fishing boats from the porch were an added plus. It was a great place to relax and visit with family.

Summary: My sisters and I stayed here for a long weekend. The house was comfortable and clean. The cottage was very cute. Great location--easily accessible to restaurants and other amenities. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars all the way down is that from the looks of the picture in the listing we thought we would have a bigger view of the ocean.

Summary: Such a beautiful home and surrounding area. We had a great stay and the home had everything we needed. The view was phenomenal and amazing restaurant you could walk to for beautiful views too. Be mindful the neighboring home is very close and can be noisy at times but this was not an issue for us since we were out exploring most of the time. Thank you for sharing your home!

Summary: We enjoyed our time at this rental. The view from the upstairs bedroom was beautiful and the bed was super comfortable! The sliding doors in the living room added so much fresh air and natural light. Beautiful wood floors and having a washer and dryer were amazing!

Summary: We rented this lovely home to be close to the ocean with our family. The home was beautiful, with big open doors to the patio to capture the sea breezes and oceans views. That part was glorious. But we discovered the immediate neighbors made a fair bit of noise using language we didn’t want our kids to hear and had signage up displaying similar language. Also, we thought we might be able to walk to the water from the house to watch the working harbor, but several private property signs prevented this so there wasn’t any shore access in our immediate vicinity. Luckily, there were wonderful parks nearby, like Popham Beach. We had a great time in Bath and on the water in Bailey Island. Loved waking up in the comfortable beds to sea birds calling and the lovely, briny sea air. Overall, a great home with a few things to keep in mind.
