2,400 sq. ft. single story home on five acres located on the edge of Black Forest, CO. Master bedroom, two guest rooms, and two baths. Master bath with jacuzzi tub. Formal living room and dining room, large family room, computer room with wireless printer, full kitchen and laundry room. There is a large deck off the front of the house, and a smaller deck on the back with beautiful views of Pikes Peak. The property is fenced and gated. Restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and a WalMart are 10 minutes away in Falcon, CO. We are only 15 minutes from I 25 with easy access to Colorado Springs, Fort Carson, The Air Force Academy and Denver. Colorado ski resorts, including Breckenridge and Vail, can be reached within 2 to 3 hours from our home depending on which resort you choose. Denver is 60 miles North. Our home is also near several rodeo arenas, the nearest one being the Latigo Equestrian & Event Facility only 5 minutes away.

Summary: The view from the house was so pretty and it was very open. Everything was nicely set up and easy to find/manage. The drive to Colorado Springs and Falcon was cool because you can spot a lot of wildlife along the roads and even some mule deer were just outside the back porch. The garage was a big help when it started to rain, and was also helpful when we unloaded and loaded our luggage. The home owners were easy to talk to and left a great information binder.

Summary: On the positive side, the location of the property was great, it was out of the main hustle and bustle of the town but close enough to run to the store and grab something when we needed it. My daughter was able to park her camper on the property which was a big plus for our family. There was also a very large garage connected to the house that we enjoyed sitting in to escape the heat of the sun and enjoy the fresh air, and the house was spacious and well stocked and the view was beautiful. However, there were many things that made my children and I uncomfortable about the home. The first would be the cleanliness of the house, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. There were dead moths on the kitchen windowsill that had been there for a while. The sinks in the bathrooms were gritty and the master bathroom shower had dried hair on the wall and black debris that came out from under the shower door. The bedrooms were mostly clean until I discovered a stain on the master bedroom sheets which made me feel as if I were sleeping in a dirty bed. Secondly, there was a ring camera at the front door of the home and a camera above the garage door that were not disclosed to us before our arrival and made us all feel watched and listened to. This feeling of being watched was then reinforced when we removed a piece of tape covering from the outdoor garage lights to turn them off for the night. We returned to the house after an outing that same night with the lights turned back on and the tape replaced. Many things in the home are labeled with rules of what can and cannot be touched, the light switch, however, only had tape and no label, so we saw no harm in just turning it off during the nights of our stay. Lastly, the house is dated and in need of a handful of repairs and maintenance. We found out that the washing machine was not in working order just before our stay. The owner did reach out to us to say that they were not able to repair it until after we left. This is understandable but that is one thing we certainly counted on having. In the end, the owners did apologize for the inconvenience but offered no compensation or real solutions for the discomfort that we felt and some of the frustrations that we faced. My overall experience was mediocre and disappointing.

Summary: Great property. Location is good for visiting family that live in the Peyton/Calhan area, since there are no lodging options. Also directly north of the town of Falcon for shopping convenience. Very clean and spacious house, and a garage to park in.

Summary: Traveled to Colorado to spend a week with family and attend a wedding. This property was very close to where we needed to be. The home was spacious, clean and very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for daily meals. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

Summary: First of all, the owners were very responsive and attended to all our needs. Whatever problem that we had, they found a solution for, from problems with the hot water to getting our car stuck in the snow. They immediately sent over a neighbor to help us with the issues we had and sent someone else to help get our car out of the snow and clear out the driveway. Both of them were super friendly and respectful. Second of all, the house was beautiful! The decorations were perfect and it was stocked up with everything you can possibly think of. They are so generous with everything they provide, and everything is in good condition. Other places we've been to have been either stingy with what they provide or the things are really old and outdated. But not this place! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had exactly what we needed. We also really enjoyed the master bathroom. Being Christian pastors, we enjoyed that the owners showed their faith all throughout the house. Overall, it was an wonderful experience for us to stay at their rental.

Summary: To say that this was an amazing property would be an understatement. From the moment that we walked in to the day we left the property, it felt like home. Large, open rooms. Beds were comfortable. Very cozy! It is about 30 minutes away from Downtown Colorado Springs and WalMart. Property is secluded and very, very quiet. No road noise. Views of Pikes Peak in the distance. Donnie was very, very responsive when we had some issues with the Thermostat. He took time out of his day to come over and help us get some heat going again. I highly recommend this property. Five stars!!!

Summary: We loved the "remoteness" of the property. Really only a quick drive into all the amenities you need while visiting Colorado Springs. Easy access and the house was clean and tidy. It was well stocked for hosting a small BBQ for some friends that were also in town with us. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: You will not be disappointed! This property is clean and fresh and has everything you will need for a great stay!! It is not on top of everything and a bit secluded but not away from the luxuries of home. I highly recommend considering this property for your next visit.
