4 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Mears

This 4 bedroom chalet, sits on the edge of Lake Michigan. Access to the beach within minutes. Comfortably sleeps 12 . Lower level has one bedroom with a full size bed and two bunk beds, an additional full size futon is also available, there is a completely accessible handicapped bathroom and a large living area, with a walkout to the patio and front yard with a fire pit. First level has a spacious living area complete with kitchen and walkout to wrap around deck. Also on this level is the laundry room, bathroom, two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. Upper loft bedroom has 1 queen bed, 1 full size bed and 1 twin bed. Full bathroom with tub.
Located in between Lake Michigan and the ever popular Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Fun, sun and sand during the day, and beautiful starlight nights surrounding the fire pit. Walk down the beach to the Little Sable Lighthouse, where you can take a tour of the lighthouse, the views from the top are breathtaking. Walk up the dunes for a great hike over to Silver Lake. Visit the shops, grab a bite to eat, go on a go-cart, play mini-golf, go zip lining, take a bumper boat ride. Go for a ride on the Mac Woods Dune Buggies, a thrill for everyone. Take a ride into Pentwater, which is just twenty minutes away. Stroll along the streets, check out the shops and eateries. Watch the boats go in and out of the channel. Visit Charles Mears State Park. Or just chill and relax. Sitting on the deck, listen to the motion of the Lake Michigan waves, while reading or just meditating. The area has a lot of activities to offer everyone.

Summary: This was our second stay here. We had a great time and the house had the necessities. It wasn’t as clean this time as the first, but otherwise met all our needs. It certainly has beautiful views of Lake Michigan.

Summary: The home and location are beautiful. Debi was very responsive and kind. On our second & final evening we returned back from a wedding and the group was getting ready for bed. No music, no partying. Another owner, Ralph, called to say we had 16 cars and were in breach of contract. We had 8 cars and even invited him over so we could show him. He said we had to have more than 12 people too because of all the cars, we did not. We had 12 people. He then said we were going to ruin the septic tank with that many people. I was extremely polite and kind on the phone but nothing I said helped. This ruined the end of our weekend. We treated the property very respectfully the entire weekend.

Summary: This house was gorgeous. Off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle of the town but very close to all the attractions. Views of Lake Michigan right across the road were amazing and beach access was just a short walk down the dirt road. Will definitely be back!
