Positive: Stunning facilities at an excellent location less than 3 minutes from Train/bus station, and in the heart of few historical sites and other venues. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. Impeccable service from all staff: front desk, cleaning, breakfast, bar/restaurant. Great breakfast buffet in general. The unlimited access to fresh sparkling water on tap on the 3rd floor was a great and almost unique touch. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise. I will be back!
Negative: Small details, but not deal breakers: there were not enough fresh fruits for breakfast: watermelon Considering that Skåne ( and Sweden) is known for its seafood, it would have been an excellent occasion to serve the fresh small shrimps ( små räkor) as part of the buffet: they are easily accessible by local fishers and it would have been a great way to promote local businesses. The brewed coffee was a bit on the bitter and stale side. It was not clear that items such as kettle, etc. could be borrowed. A note should be put in all rooms. Also, even if accessible at the front desk, a map from Ystad in each room would have been an extra touch. The TV menu could also be used to advertise the available tours and main activities ( market, walk, excursions out of Ystad) of the week: once again, a good way to promote local businesses.

Positive: Excellent breakfast and evening meal. A very classy interior decor. The staff were very accommodating.
Negative: There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. But otherwise a wonderful place to stay
