Summary: It was a cute little rental. My son caught some delicious fish right down by the boat launch. I especially LOVED THE SCREENED IN PORCH! only a 10 to 15 min drive to burgess falls state park. Definitely check them out the burgess falls are gorgeous and worth the little treck up and down to get there. Hank was very accommodating as well.

Summary: This is quaint, rustic 3 bedroom/2bathroom retreat in an eclectic neighborhood of second homes for water enthusiasts. The owner/host was accessible and graciously agreed to a late check out when we ran into a time bind. Although the neighborhood is fairly isolated, it is 4 miles or so from an active interstate exit with a Love's and other c-store options for whatever you may have forgotten or if you just dig Love's single serving coffe machines.

Summary: The place is an older structure but was decorated very nicely. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Water pressure and amount of hot water available was excellent. Supplies that I I expected to be available were not...no salt, coffee filters or soap in showers. We had a third of a roll of paper towels for a 10 day stay. We had to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as there was an inadequate or nonexistent back up. We had to wash the bathroom rugs because of how dirty they looked. The blow dryer in that bathroom is broken and held together with electrical tape. The worst part is the mildew smell. There were multiple scented plug ins throughout the home but only one had any liquid left in it. The smell is terrible. The road it is located on is challenging particularly at night. If you are looking for lake front activities this is probably a great spot, that was not of interest to us this trip. I had business in both Cookeville and Buffalo Valley, and I expected Baxter to be centrally located. This part of Baxter definitely was not.

Summary: My uncle came to visit me and we needed a place to stay and do everything we enjoy. We had an amazing time. It was close to everything we needed. Kayaking, fishing, swimming, grilling, and a little needed R&R.
