We are beyond excited to be able to offer you "Coral Cove" for your next Chincoteague Island vacation - we just KNOW you will love it! Formerly known as "The Fig Tree", Coral Cove has just undergone a complete renovation and has a true "WOW!" factor. On the main living level you'll find a bright, open living room with huge sliding doors that offer a view of Little Oyster Bay, an open dining area, the chef's quality kitchen with all new appliances, the master bedroom suite with bathroom, and the back door leading to the oversized screened porch. Enjoy coffee or cold drink after a day at the beach while you sit on the screened porch and look out over the canal. Bring your kayak or canoe and launch right from the backyard -- there's a floating dock and upgraded kitchen! Want to try your hand at crabbing? You can do that here as well! The lower (ground) level of the home features an outdoor covered parking area, an outside shower, and an indoor sitting area complete with a mini-fridge. The upstairs of this home features 2 more bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with 2 bunks and a trundle - 5 twins total) and a full bathroom. Cook your dinner on the propane or charcoal grill (there's both) and dine al fresca on the huge front deck or back screened porch. Located in one of Chincoteague Island's most popular communities, Oyster Bay I, Coral Cove guests can also have access to the shared community boat ramp. Come for a delightful stay at Coral Cove - you won't want to leave! Floor Plan: Lower (ground) level features a sitting area with mini-fridge and covered outdoor patio area. The main level of the home features the open living, kitchen and dining room areas, as well as the master bedroom (King bed) with attached bathroom (shower and tub). The second level of the home features 2 more bedrooms (one with a Queen bed and the other with 2 sets of Twin bunk beds), and a "Jack-n-Jill" style bathroom that is accessible from either bedroom. This bathroom has a tub and shower.

Summary: Coral Cove exceeded our expectations; the decor is super nice, the home was very clean and so well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking (and nice quality items also - we want to know where the black metal flatware is from!). The first floor bedroom was great for us while the grandchildren stayed upstairs with their parents. The screen porch was used daily - it was so nice to sit out there and have crabs. We did puzzles and played games (thoughtfully provided) on the spacious table in the living/dining room. Sufficient parking for everyone and it was nice to have an open area under the house to keep the bikes dry during a few rain showers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay while at Chincoteague. Lovely views from either porch, quiet neighborhood, we loved it!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The vacation home was not cleaned very well prior to our stay. There was sand on the floor throughout the house, the light switches were VERY dirty, and it was just not what we expected after a pandemic. We were unhappy about being charged $129 cleaning fee prior to our stay only for us to have to clean it ourselves. The housekeeping staff seem to come in, clean the toilets n make the beds, besides that they expect you to do everything prior to your departure. One of the ceiling fans in the great room did not have a working light either. Our biggest concern was the BLINK camera system. It raised privacy concerns as one of the cameras is pointed with a direct view of the outside shower. Plus given the nature of the cameras, we know that they can be watched and listened in on to here conversations. This was not one of our finer experiences. However The staff at the management company were very nice n helpful whenever they were contacted about something.

The owners have thought of absolutely everything and the house is immaculate and beautiful! We Loe to kayak and paddle board, so being right on the canal makes that super easy. The location is peaceful will a lovely little view of the Channel. We really love our time here and look forward to coming back again in the future.

Summary: This was our first trip to the island. Our stay at Coral Cove was perfect. The home was pristine and had everything we needed. The games in the closet were an added bonus. Our kids enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the dock. The neighborhood is perfect for families with young kids. It is quiet and lots of room to ride bikes. We will visit Coral Cove again!
