Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at Cornerstone. The bed was comfortable and the place superbly clean and all staff very friendly and approachable. Cornerstone consists of 2 rooms which can be booked separately, with a shared well equipped kitchen and lounge area. Definitely ideal if you are catching an early ferry. Brilliant that it is pet friendly too. We would definitely stay here again.

Negative: Nothing to complain about - would just like to make pet owners aware that the entrance is on a main road, 1st floor with common entrance (so dogs that are a flight risk like ours, would maybe need to be on lead or supervised when in the common area.)

Negative: Doesnt have attached parking but thats seriously, not a issue. Theres plenty of local parking along the marina front.

Positive: We had a one night stay after taking the west highland train. Sharon met us and showed us our room which was very attractive and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom with big walk in shower was spacious and modern and the location was in the centre of Mallaig. We had a superb meal in the 2 AA rosette restaurant below the accommodation. Access to the rooms is through the kitchen/dining/living area which is shared with the other letting bedroom (bedrooms are side by side). We made our own quick breakfast in the kitchen before early departure which was handy for us.

Negative: We had a little mix up with our booking because we hadn’t realised it is now room only.

Positive: The owner was wonderful, met us at the property when we arrived and gave us the ground rules. Breakfast was included the next day and the owner chatted with us and gave us an experience we'll never forget.

Negative: Staircase up could use a handrail but that's it

Positive: Use of the kitchen was a bonus - I especially liked that somebody (perhaps the host) had left real coffee and a coffee pot in the cupboard and I could have a cup as soon as I wakened. Very dog friendly and relaxed place. Nice breakfast.

Negative: Nothing not to like about this place.
