Positive: Excellent spot, only a few steps from Arona's central plaza. All the basic amenities included, plus the addition of an optional parking garage.
Negative: There are some loud concerts and events in the plaza that will go late into the night. Otherwise, the apartment itself is perfect.
Summary: Beautiful and well-maintained apartment right in the heart of Arona, with wonderful hosts.

Positive: Cortile del Forno is located within a small block in the old town. We had a nice appartment. It just takes a short stroll, less than 100 m, to get to Piazza del Popolo at the lake. Arona is also a nice starting point for a trip with the ferry to the Isole Borromee, stopping at various places at west and east side of the Lago Maggiore.

Negative: I couldn’t figure out how to make it a bit warmer. I should have contacted the owner. Still it was not very cold.
Summary: We love Arona. It is a very beautiful, pedestrian friendly city with a port for sailing trips on Lago Maggiore.

Positive: Very nice host, extremely helpful. Comfortable, big space, very high ceilings. Very central, close to all the good restaurants and bars. Also close to the ferries and train station. Enough coffee available. We didn't cook, but if you wanted to, that would've been possible. Big kitchen with utensils.
Negative: No private outside space. But we made do and sat outside on the sidewalk, and people watched. Which was also quite pleasant ;) Everything else was lovely.

Positive: Location and price. Internet connection. Owner of the apartment, she was very helpful.
Negative: The apartment was very cold, musty smell. There were only a few electrical sockets, so if you charing your mobile phone, you cannot light the lamp. Also the apartment looked better in pictures than in reality. We were fooled by the nice pictures of other apartment and unfortunately we got the worse..
Summary: For short stay in summer would be perfect, but I would never come back to this apartment
