Cottage for 4-6 people, up to 8 (with sofa-bed), 12 min walk from Bayeux. Includes patio (pls note that after recent reviews, access to the patio has been granted again to guests), open-air garden and parking for a few cars. Fully equipped and comfortably furnished. Located in the countryside near Bayeux (views over the cathedral from a few places in the house), totally quiet environment. 2 bedrooms (1 with king bed, 1 with either king bed or 2 single beds). Mezzanine with double bed. Possibility to have 2 people sleeping in the sofa in the living room. Toilets on the ground floor. 2 shower rooms on 1st floor (1 with toilets) including washing machine and washer dryer. Possibility to use a barbecue in the garden. Lots of DVDs and board games, plenty of (sport and cultural) activities nearby. Easy access to Bayeux, Bessin seaside resorts and D-day beaches from the cottage (I can recommend a guide or anything else in the region if you need it). Possibility of cleaning during the stay (additional charge)

Summary: The house was a great size for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) The location was perfect & enabled us to explore a wide range of places within Normandy. The house could have been cleaner, the dishwasher was full of grime, which meant it wasn't cleaning the crockery thoroughly. Tops of surfaces were pretty dirty, but I always come with cleaning products just in case. We didn't feel the need to contact the owner as it was likely quicker to resolve these issues ourselves. The owner did tell us he had cameras at the front of his property which had spotted previous guests going to parts of the garden which they were not allowed to, this made us a little wary. All in all though a fantastic house in a great location.

Summary: Beautiful cottage with a large, private garden (the apple orchard, which was big enough for playing cricket/football with the kids). The house itself was plenty big enough, with 2 toilets and 2 showers (plenty of hot water too). The beds were really comfy and our children loved sleeping in the loft space on the landing. We would stay again in a heartbeat! The owner speaks fluent English and was easy to contact too, which really helped us out.

Summary: The house was beautiful and even exceeded the images. Check-in was smooth, the owner is super accomodating and over all a lovely person. The location was perfect and the village of Bayeux is stunning - I can't recommend this place enough!

Summary: This property is beautifully decorated, peaceful and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We just loved the tranquility of this home. It was just outside of town but a very easy walk. It was perfect for us!

Summary: We stayed at the property with 2 teenagers (15 and 17) for 4 days and we were very comfortable. Property is well located very close to Bayeaux, but in the middle of a working farm, with cows. Access to outdoor terrace had to be asked for separately - and was granted - making this a gem of a property with fantastic space. Well stocked kitchen, great to have laundry, main bathroom large and clean, good water pressure. Internet was fine - teenagers happy. Things to think about - no screens mean flies, bring your laundry tabs from home, sisal carpet pretty but hard on toes upstairs. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Summary: Beautiful property just outside of town. My only wish is that we used this house as more of a home base and stayed here longer. I originally booked this quite awhile back when the covered area was still part of the listing. It didn’t effect our stay though. There’s a nice yard out front with a table and chairs. You can even see the cathedral from the driveway. The beds in the 2 bedrooms we’re comfortable. The loft I would recommend for children or teenagers. It was a little difficult for adults to navigate and the bed was a little firm. Great use of space though. The house was well decorated with plenty of space. The washer and dryer was a plus. Plenty of towels provided.

Summary: Stephanie the property manager was fantastic showing us around and answering questions we had about the property. Unfortunately there’s been a new owner since the photos of the property were taken and the lovely garden/ yard/ outdoor seating area is no longer accessible when you rent the property. We have 4 kids and that part of the rental is pretty important to us so we were all disappointed to find out those areas have been locked off and made inaccessible. The property on the inside is comfortable and clean enough for what we needed and the view from inside is once again of all the space that you can no longer access. If the property was advertised without the previous usable area we would have chose somewhere else. Not terrible but just not what was chosen based on what was advertised.

Summary: We stayed three nights in this beautiful country cottage while we were in the area touring the landing sites. It was a perfect location, just outside of town with just a short drive (or walk) into Bayeux. We would highly recommend this property!!
