2 Bedroom Cottage in Penycae

Holly View is a self contained 2 bed annex adjacent to our main home.
Holly View is adjacent to the main house (Brooklyn House) and overlooks the garden and paddocks to the front (we have around three acres) with relaxing views to the woods and the fields beyond. Holly View has only recently been completely redesigned and rebuilt and comprises two bedrooms (one with double bed and one with two single beds that could be put together to form another double). There is a 'jack and jill' bathroom with toilet, hand basin and large walk in shower.
The lounge, dinning and kitchen areas are open plan with french doors leading out to a patio area shaded by the holly tree. A separate entrance door into the kitchen area is to the side of the annex.
There is ample parking for several cars in the courtyard next to Holly View.
As a smallholding we have animals - Pippa a cats, ( see photo) geese, chickens.
We are happy to provide hints on where to visit and brochures of the local attractions
We prefer a minimum stay of 5 nights ( complimentary meals Asian dish for the last evening of your stay for 5 nights only ) however we will consider shorter stays. .

Summary: This property was fantastic for our almost two week holiday this year. Really well laid out. Great facilities. Parking right next to the door (very helpful if it rains. It is Wales after all!) Joana and Alan were kind enough to allow us to garage our mountain bikes (perfectly situated for Llandegla) and wash them down when needed. Sampling Joana’s cooking is an absolute must! Thank you so much!

Summary: We loved staying on this property. The apartment was decorated beautifully, the small farm was peaceful, and the hosts charming.. The perfect home away from home. And plenty of entertainment and outdoor activities nearby. We will stay here again if come back to the area.

Summary: The property had everything we needed, the hosts live next door but were not intrusive and always on hand for any of our needs. Really beautiful spot, enjoyed sitting outside looking at the trees and fields beyond. Location was excellent, we went to Liverpool for the day on the train from Ruabon which is 5 minutes down the road. Best of all was the walking - amazing scenery. We enjoyed meals out - would recommend the Cross Foxes by the river and the Castle Bistro in Chirk. Will definitely return.

Summary: This property is in a lovely environment with relaxing countryside views. Has lovely animals on the land to see. Very welcoming hosts with excellent tips and recommendations about things to do. Really appreciated the extra touches with complimentary eggs from the chickens and homemade jam. House is well kept, spacious and comfortable. Overall I would recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway with excellent travel connections to nearby Llangollen, Chirk , Shropshire and north wales.

Summary: The property is spotless, well maintained and very peaceful and quiet. Everything as it should be for a nice relaxing time in a rural setting yet close to everything . My one disappointment was that the wi-fi and mobile signal were unrealiable. Joanna and Alan were the perfect hosts. Thank you foe a pleasant peaceful stay.

Summary: I cant say enough about this place. Beautiful, clean, countryside views complete with geese, chickens and Raj the friendly Rotty who we will miss so much. Joana and Alan were sooooooo nice and caring, We had fresh eggs daily and they helped immediately with any concerns and questions. We will definitely be back!!

Summary: Could have done with some basins (to make scrambled eggs in microwave etc) and more dishcloths and tea towels. Think the hosts should say more in the facilities section - ie whether towels are provided and whether wifi is available. They were friendly and very helpful
