1 Bedroom Cottage in Mountain Home

Looking for something off the beaten path? Our Studio Cottage with a great living area and kitchen. A queen bed, bedding down to the pillows. Fresh new towels and homemade soap! Fully Equipped kitchen stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and all the dishes, pots and pans. A new t.v. with satellite and Roku streaming. And of course WiFi. Out on your lake-view deck you can relax or bbq your catch of the day on our new charcoal grills and enjoy your meal on the new picnic table. If you want to stay close there is a in-ground built into the hillside with a view, lounge chairs for sunbathing. Just a few yards from the resort lies the six stall boat dock and a free slip is included in rental of your cottage.
Located at at the end of a point our resort is a quite retreat. No traffic just an occasional boat going by. Watch the hawks flying overhead as well as many other varieties of birds. An occasional deer or turkey just may end up in front of you. Relaxing in the pool or sunbathing next to it while viewing the lake. Take a walk to the dock and just sit there and relax or just jump right in the water is clear and clean.
Please keep in mind you are in the great outdoors. Along with the beauty come creepy crawly things like chiggers, ticks, snakes, wasps and flies. Bringing some bug spray along helps as well as keeping doors closed at all times. You may see some deer, turkey's, armadillos, since we are in the woods a bear or coyote and other predictors may be near so use caution.
The Dock!
Included in your rental is a slip in our 6 stall dock. The stalls measure 10x20. There is electric to plug in your toys, a ladder to help you back up if you choose to jump in. Please note the following.
The army core of engineers controls our lake level. At time you can drive the 250 yards from the resort and park and walk right onto the dock. If the levels are high you will need to hike down the trail. Both ways are walkable but are steep and a rocky incline. So use caution. At times of high water an alternative boat launch will be needed. There is no sandy beach it is a rocky area. You will find boating and fishing rules in each cottage and agree to follow all rules.
We have 2 game cameras on the dock!!! There is NO lifeguard at either the dock or pool you agree to use at your own risk. Owners are not liable or stolen or damaged properly.

Summary: The views are breathtaking. The owners are very professional, polite, and easy to work with. The cabins are immaculate and well-kept. There is a laundry room if needed. The pool is very refreshing on hot days, and the front porch is perfect for enjoying a grilled supper. Bull Shoals Lake Promise Land Dock is steps away with excellent Lake access. Fishing is good on Bull Shoals Lake & White River Dam area, just a short drive, too! Highly recommend! There is cable & Wi-Fi Make sure to bring your food & clothes & toiletries! If you forget something most likely they can help you out

Summary: I am happy to give 5 stars here, we enjoyed the three days we stayed! The hosts were so friendly that we felt like part of the family during our visit. We appreciated seeing the work they are putting into bringing the cabins into the 21st century, while maintaining the pleasant retro vibe of a sixties fishing lodge. Location is secluded, quiet and scenic. It is seven miles to Route 5, and the road is twisty but smoothly paved, so a reasonable drive to Bull Shoals dam area, also to Mountain Home, and to Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mtn. View. Our time here is a happy memory now, and we are looking forward to our return visits and future memories.

Summary: Did I say beautiful? Yes! Breathtaking views of bull shoals lake from the resort, quiet. I absolutely love that it's a few miles from town. Bring your groceries there is a full kitchen & bath with all you need besides your own food. I walked all around there and watched movies the owners are exceptional hosts! Can't say enough about this place I will definitely go back again!
