Summary: We had a very nice stay in the quiet area of the Loire Valey: the house is lovely and well equiped. The owners are very friendly and helpful., they know the area and helped us with finding good restaurants. The swimmingpool is large and clean. Overall A very nice stay!

Summary: We had a lovely couple of weeks at moulin placette. The location is perfect with stunning views and so many places to visit nearby. Loved Angers, Samur, Brissac castle, Cholet, all within half an hour. We also has a great day in Nantes taking the TGV from Anger. Christoph and Sandrine were great hosts, always available when needed, and despite our terrible French made us very welcome. While we were staying it was our daughter Lily’s birthday, they bought her a present and came to wish her a happy birthday which was a lovely touch. The Gites was clean and comfortable, the kids loved the pool which was cleaned every day and very well kept. The bikes were great for getting in to the village for morning croissants and supplies. Overall a great holiday in a wonderful place. We wish Christoph and Sandrine every success.

Summary: We stayed for a month (as we did in 2011) at Moulin de la Placette. It's an ideal location from which to visit Anjou and, more broadly, the Loire Valley, with its markets and many interesting sites. Faye d'Anjou is absent the hassle of larger touristic towns and contains the best boulangerie we met in France, and Angers, a mere 30 minutes away, is a fascinating city of quite wonderful sites. The gite was clean, well-maintained and very comfortable. Keith and Pauline, the owners, were models of thougtful courtesy, even keeping the pool open at the end of September for late afternoon unwinding after busy days. We would unreservedly recommend this vacation spot to anyone heading to Anjou. We'd also strongly recommend at least one meal be taken at Bistro des Carmes, in Angers.

Summary: We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week at Moulin de la Placette. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped. The bikes provided were very useful, especially as our 15 year old son finally taught himself to ride one, in the peace, quiet, and anonymity of rural France! The swimming pool was great for the boys, but a bit too cold for me! Pauline and Keith were very good hosts, happy to help, but not intrusive. The area was very beautiful, surrounded by vineyards. We went wine tasting at Logis de Noel in the village, a small, family-run vineyard, and they could not have been nicer, friendlier people! The wine was very good too! Our two teenage sons now think of themselves as proper wine connoisseurs! We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Summary: We stayed in the Aubance gite in July 2011 and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the distant views of vines and hills. The pool was excellent and well maintained. The gite, although small was tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Pauline and Keith welcomed us warmly and were accessible for advice on restaurants etc. Highly recommend the restaurant at the old station in Bonnezeaux - a superb dining experience! We lots of pleasant walks and bike rides on the quiet roads and old rail trails. The gite is very handy for visiting Angers and towns along the Loire valley. The nearest town, Thourace has a very good supermarket and the farmers market at Doue-la-Fontaine on a Monday is extensive and well supplied. A great holiday spot!

Summary: We had a very relaxing stay at Moulin de la Placette. The cottage was thoughtfully decorated and well appointed. Keith and Pauline struck a fine balance between being good hosts and giving us plenty of privacy. The setting is perfect, with beautiful views all around, hardly any traffic and a village a short walk away. The pool is lovely, great for kids due to its secure enclosure and excellent for adults too. There are also plenty of games and activities at hand. The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty to see and do in the vicinity. Overall excellent!
