Positive: The location was so serene. The lake The pool. Neighbors very friendly. Loved the instruction manual Loved all the utensils/grill
Negative: 3 small issues. Beds a little uncomfortable Air not on when arrived. Very warm Steps to bedroom above kitchen very steep and felt a bit unstable.

Positive: the location was fine. the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The couches were comfortable and it was nice to have cable TV.
Negative: There was no handrail to the side door where the key was and the wooden steps need some repair. Also, the wood walkway needs some repair as does the handrail to the deck; it was loose. There is only one bathroom and it would be hard to get 8 people showered after going to the beach or pool if u wanted to go out to dinner or whatever. Also, there were no handrails to use to get into the shower/tub combination. It would be hard for an older person with mobility problems to get i and out.
Summary: We had a nice time and the house was nice and on a quiet road

Positive: We enjoyed the location of this house! A short walk or bike ride to both the bay & the pool. The home is set up perfectly for family entertainment and the deck/yard was perfect for evening entertainment and relaxing. We had plenty of space with 4 kids and 3 adults. Being in a gated community allowed for a sense of safety while allowing the teens to walk, bike ride and hang out at the bay. The area outside of the housing complex is great too! Highly recommend Henlopen State Park- about a 25 min drive with holiday traffic. The beach was clean, easy to find parking for 10$ a day as well as a very easy/short walk to the beach from the parking area with handicap beach access for those who may need it- even on 4th of July weekend it was the perfect spot! Paradise Grill was a huge hit for the teens and adults as well if you are looking for an evening out that is family friendly- very quick and easy drive as well. I was able to cook several meals and grill while there, we really enjoyed having those amenities! Owners are very communicative & honestly so quick to assist returning a left behind item when their cleaner found it. I have traveled for work and personal reasons a lot & have never had anything returned to me after leaving it behind. I really appreciate that!
Negative: I wish we could have brought our pups with us. Especially after finding the state park beach where they are welcome!Even if it were an extra fee I hope that in the future the owners consider adding that perk. When we arrived the house was extremely warm and took quite a while to cool off. However, I know this is an effort to conserve high bills when vacant and the temperature was very high outside so that likely played a large factor as well - just something to be aware of if you planned on just hanging at the house after your arrival to unpack and such.
