Summary: this is a jewel on Stoney Lake - elevated deck to capture both the sunrise if you are up early enough and beautiful sunsets. Listen to the loons. Water temp is great for swimming. We spent hours on the water exploring from our own paddleboards as well as the owners' kayak. Cottage is well appointed on a fairly private lot. Close to Lakefield and Peterborough for anything you might need. Matt and Erin were very attentive - providing helpful information leading up to our arrival and then available if we had any questions throughout. Just a great week of lakeside relaxation and play.

Summary: Price wise generally reasonable. No complaints except wooden steps at side of cottage to lake a little unsafe. Owners very nice.

Summary: If you love swimming and beautiful sunsets, this is a great home to enjoy. Owners are very professional and go out of their way to ensure a perfect stay. Home is super clean and has everything you would ever need. Canoe or kayak to Indian Island to swim off of the rocks is a must. Property is close to Kawartha adventure rentals who will deliver extra kayaks to this location should you wish to rent more. Outings to nearby Log Cabin are worthwhile for very good pies, sandwiches. Also nearby, is Stoney Market. You can drive a wee bit further to Bernies vegetable stand (Halls Glen). The close shopping at these three locations will give you plenty of items to make a scrumptious meal back at home in the owners well stocked kitchen then enjoy dining on the most beautiful dining table ever. Then watch the sun go down from the balcony. It was hard to leave this lovely property. Perfect location. Thank you.

Summary: Really nice cottage with an excellent location. The inside was nice and homey with lots of wood to give that good cottage feeling. Matt was great to deal with and very interested to answer any questions that came up. Would definitely go again and highly recommend. Doug and family

Summary: We had a fun time at this spot on Stoney Lake. The views alone made it super. The cottage was immaculately clean, well organized and a very comfortable place to stay. It's in a nice location in a quiet bay. Good swimming right off the dock. Lots to see too for canoeing and kayaking. And again the views from the waterfront, the deck and from inside the cottage were super. Matt and Erin are very welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. Dan C. Sept 2020.

Summary: Absolutely fabulous. Communication with host Matt was above and beyond expectations. Great fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating. If you visit Stoney the natural sand bar is an awesome way to spend a hot summer day. Probably one of my favorite places on the lake. The calm, quiet ambience of Stoney Lake left us recharged and relaxed. A glass of wine lakeside was a great way to end the day taking in a spectacular Stoney Lake sunset. Thanks to Matt and Erin for allowing our family to enjoy your beautiful property.

Summary: This cottage is well equipped with everything you will need for your getaway! -comfy beds -blackout blinds -well-stocked kitchen -canoe, pedalo and sea kayak -large dining table -bbq -firepit -coffee machine -TV with Netflix, board games and games console! We had a great stay and enjoyed kayaking, swimming and some great hikes! Matt and Erin are amazing hosts and were always there with great advice and help whenever we needed it. Can't recommend this place more! We would definitely go again!

Summary: This property is perfectly situated right on the water on a beautiful outcrop of rock great for bonfires!! The location is private and peaceful with added bonus the Petroglyphs National Park nearby. The house has all the amenities you could need and the owner, Matt, is easily accessible by text. Wonderful stay!
