Summary: Lovely place for a family holiday, although bit of a squeeze for 10. Up to date kitchen diner but a lack of lounge area, particularly for a large family. First floor bedrooms are accessed via the old turret - not suitable for the infirm, although the ground floor bedroom makes a great 'granny annexe'. Lovely pool but very little shade. Parasols needed. Ideal area to stay. Very quiet road but only 10 minutes from Talmont and 20 mins from the beach. Don't miss Puy du Fou and a visit to La Rochelle.

Summary: As a party of 9 (6 adults & 3 children) this was a great place for us to spread out and also have family meals together, both inside and out. The size of the pool is fantastic and we had hours of fun using it. The location was a little more remote than we had expected which meant it was really quiet and peaceful but it did mean we had to drive to the boulangerie for our daily baguette & croissants! Talmont St Hilaire is a lovely town about 10 mins drive, with a large Super U supermarket and just 10 mins further on is the brilliant Plage du Veillon beach. We would definitely recommend La Guigneraie.

Summary: We were met by the owner who showed us round and was very kind. The place is beautiful and with 6 children with us, the pool was much appreciated! Location is superb, in the heart of the countryside yet only half an hour from the beautiful beaches. Talmont itself is an interesting place to visit and In would recommend visiting the night market in the summer on Wednesday evening at the port - a really friendly place. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

Summary: This house is one of a kind allowing us to have the best holiday in the most beautiful of places. We were a group of 10 with 4 adults and 6 children. The house and grounds were more than large enough for us all. The children absolutely loved the swimming pool which was really big and Lovely temperature. We sat outside on the patio for dinner every night and the area is so quiet and peaceful. There's so much to do nearby which we did by going to the beach, kayaking and a trip to puy du fou Park (an absolute must!!). One of the best holidays we've had and so many happy memories for all of us. We will definitely come again!
